Its as simple as this. If you have a car coming in with the 6FL tell your CA to make sure it has the case and cable included. If it is missing her or she should get a new one and put it in for you. We have about 30 cables in stock in case a car comes in without one. It seems like the X5 and 5 series car are all coming with the cable but the 3 series cars are not coming with it. Plus some of the other CA at your stores may be taking it out of a car on the lot to put in a car that is sold and then not putting one back in from the car they took it from. Trust me this happens all the time.

When will the software come out for those of us who have the iPod option, but it doesn't work right.
By not working right: I can play the iPod for about two minutes and then it will switch to the radio. I have been told this will be fixed with a software update although others have had the MULF2 module replaced with success. When I had my appointment to get this looked at, they cancelled saying they would wait for software. I did have BMWNA and the service manager talking about this, but I would still like to know if people on the forum think this is BS. It seemed as if BMWNA was telling me what the dealership told them instead of speaking for themselves - if that makes sense. |

It is fixed (switching to FM)
I got the fix yesterday also, it consisted of SI B653007 and
PN 51 41 9 142 455. These are the software and hardware to fix the 6FL IPOD problem. There is a pleasant surprise also the IPOD works much faster and the menu problems are solved - this is a MUST fix. I believe it is Progman V27 software - dont know what the hardware is? |
