Well, if I can get a PROcede only manual 335i sedan to meet up with me this week, I'll let you know.
But I suspect from a dig the auto has the advantage due to it's launching abilities, but I think once rolling, the manual with having less drivetrain losses will pull EVER SO SLIGHTLY on the auto (as I said 1/2 to 1 car length over the 40-110 runs).
Heck the 50-60 extra pounds I had in my auto sedan alone is worth 1/2 car length.

But the apples to apples comparo is coming soon.
We gotta get SFValley335i to get AB TEk 818 (coupe in the video) Turbo Tuner into his car.

ADHD and I will meet up for the PROcede auto sedan vs. PROcede manual sedan comparo.

Drew's car IS a FAST M3. With his 3.91 gears and intake, I pulled about 2 cars on him from 60-130. That was reported in our Famoso track run day with a bunch of us. Sorry, this part should be discussed in another thread though. Didn't mean to take my own thread OT.

every 100 lbs = 1 tenth slower in the 1/4 mile.

Let me know if you guys need another to come up. I wouldnt mind jumping on these runs.

You're welcome guys.

The video camera owns what ever is in front of it.
If someone is really that worried about that, I'll gladly give someone the footage and they can spend some time using After Effects to blur the faces for the 1/2 seconds the're visible.

Videos are clear due to me using a good compression software and not just some BS web compressor.

As for the music:

1: Damn bro, you need to stop listening to those Boy Bands on HITS 94.5 and get some taste in music That's not Heavy Metal bro.......
That is Black Flag, classic Punk Rock.
--The track is called Jealous Again and I thought it was funny and fit this piece. As everyone just pisses and moans when someone else has a different product and rants why what THEY have is better..... (aimed at no one in particular, just said because this forum has gone to hell a bit lately)

2: It was a windy day. Multiply that with the windows in the car being open and the camera hanging out the window at 120. After the initial race Beeps, you heard the car/exhaust for about 2 seconds and then all you heard was WIND. Sounded like shit, so I just spruced it up.

That's why I didn't shoot my Exhaust video clips yesterday or today for Fast Intentions.
Too windy and without proper Mics, the "in camera" mic is too directional and picks up all the shitty background noise, so why bother at all.

I'll leave it on my site for one day.
That way all the e90post regulars can see it.
After that, we can see if Streetfire will take a 15M file upload, as they just recompess it to hell anyway, for thier flash player plug in.

No doubt these are two good mods.
I don't own either, so I'm unbiased.
Bang for the buck, the TT unit is the winner.
But, we all know what the PROcede is capable of and holds it's own just fine, right along with the 335is it's in.

Shiv had the market cornered, but now, it's going to be a free for all in the next few months, as there are more software upgrades on the way, from a multitude of companies.

WE can argue car Lbs, HP, ft/lbs, octane, how much gas is in my/your car, missing shifts, AT, MT all day long.

Bottom line is, you enjoy what you have and enjoy what others are doing to thier rides, as it's all personal preference and a personal statement.

Me, I'm doing suspension and brakes first, because as soon as my oil cooler is in, this biotch is hitting Willow, ButtonWillow and Cal Speedway.... A straight line is great, but the Green Hell is more my cup of tea.

Power is great, but not the end all be all.......

Enjoy the vid, as I'll unpost it from my server tomorrow evening when I get home from work.

All-in-all, speaking as a TT owner that just raced a PROcede'd car's perspective; my feeling about the two products is the same as it was going into it. They are two products that are at perfect price points for what you want to get from them. I am pretty happy with the TT; but pretty sure I will switch over to PROcede once the bluetooth functionality is worked out. My car is Aug '06 production so I really just got the TT to hold me over till i was sure I didn't have a faulty fuel pump. Just hit 5,200 today and still pullin hard as ever! *knock on wood*

As we used to say in the 80's: Word...regarding the two products!!

Don't feel bad dude, even guys on DR's with the manual have a tougher time launching the car than the autos. With the torque converter, the autos just launch so damn well and easy...near perfect launch time and time again.

Maybe the next video can be of EGT readings during the run Acceleration is only part of the picture. While I'm happy that the PROcede did its thing, its real thing is about doing it safely, lap after lap after lap.

You know Kurt I was giving you shit about the music, I don't care really.

If you're going to send it to Streetfire, just lose the end part with the race while you were on the side of the road. It's hard to really see the results of videos like that anyway, that should make the file a bit smaller no?

Oh, and I'm not worried about my face for the split second it was on video.
I took out a permit for that side of the road that day remember, so I "owned" the road that day for our video shoot.

Drew's car had problems that day when you guys were going to fomosa, but everything is good now.

We should all get together one day and check it out. I would really like to see the difference between auto and manual myself.

Every car is different and responds differently to mods.

I know you were joking about the music bud.
You think I was serious about you listening to Boy Bands ?
Oh wait..... you do......

Don't worry, you can't see your plate at all, even when Up Resed.
That won't make the file anymore small, losing 10 secs of footage.

I didn't think you were worried about your face...... the OP posted about the 'Camera Owning faces'....... hence the retort.

Again, this is OT, but he and Charlie fixed the problem before our runs (at the gas station...Charlie was really proud that he fixed it and knew what it was)and Drew himself said it was fixed and running perfect.
Of course, that's without the use of the addition he recently put on the car that same day.

It's okay, you only switched lanes when I was 2 cars ahead already anyway.
And I too was switching lanes to avoid a dip in the road in the first run from a dig. Either way, same results.
It was the first run where my stability control was still on that sucks.
We did like 3-4 other 2nd gear rolls which the outcome was just like the 2nd run on the video.
Oh well, that's why we run numerous times to eliminate the occasional misstep or F up on both our parts. LOL

Again, it was fun though and that's what matters. I've had many runs on the losing end too but it's still fun to see how cars compare.

Okay, time to log off, wife getting antsy. Later

Kurt,

If it's Black Flag then keep it!!! Haha, good point if you can't hear the cars then throw some music in, good stuff regardless. If you need me to blur the faces, let me know.

Driver72,

Hey Bro, Sher's right the car had some problems at Famoso that day as you know, all my fault, but I have no delusions of grander a procede car is faster on the highway than my car and even with my car running perfectly I would suspect that you would still pull, just as Sherwin did on me, however in those runs I think you actually pulled 3 cars not 2! lol

But my buds stock 996 2S beat me as well on those runs home, when all was corrected I walked him, you decided to stay back and take it easy after we stopped for food and we did a bunch of comparo's after that.

I'm extremely impressed with the Procede cars and we should do another meet, as Famoso was a blast!

the video says "PROcede" only, but it should say PROcede and wider/better tires... makes a big difference on DIGs the TT coupe was on stock runflats.

Nice video, results were as suspected... procede FTW

Nice looking coupe... I love space gray

Here is my favorite shot...

I am a master of the alt-printscreen (copies current window into clipboard) then open ms paint, paste, slide into top left to crop, then crop the bottom right, save as JPG.

I got really fast at it during the m3 announcment when i was pasting screencaps like a madman...

that would look amazing, literally screenshots from every frame it's great to see the coupe in action from a driving perspective, it looks better than the pictures in person-
I love that last vid from outside the cars, great long lens work at the end- seems you were brake checking in the sedan, did you spot the fuzz or something?

Launch control doesn't apply brakes, you just floor it and it automatically adjusts for the right amount of wheel spin for maximum traction for optimal launches.
