As a freshman you shouldn't have a problem getting a Parking permit. They always have a bunch leftover as they charge $500 for residents and kids usually dont bring cars freshman year if living on campus. I highly recommend bringing a car though as getting anywhere besides manhattan is fastest, safest, and most convenient using a car unless your drinking that's another story.

Btw, all of you guys should definitely come out to the weekly Wednesday meet in Queens/Great Neck at parking lot behind Starbucks/AT&T on Northern Blvd. I have a thread up for it. It's open to all, but right now mostly 350Zs and 370Zs come since that's how the meets started off 2 years ago.

The experience of dorming is something you will never feel as a commuter. I dormed 2 years on campus and it was awesome. 2 years off campus, 4 years total with the same group of guys.

which building did they put you in? i was in dasilva in a single room fresh year, then century in a double soph year.

They put me in Donovan. I would have killed for a single..I should have just pretended I had some medical problem or something.

they put majority of freshmen in Donovan. I was there my freshmen year it was pretty fun made most of my friends by living there actually.

I guess they dont do the similar major communities anymore. In dasilva they had 1 girls floor and 1 guys floor for PA/pharmacy kids. Donovan is pretty whack although there were some pretty crazy stories.

They still do that. My entire floor was either pharmacy kids or physician assistant kids. There were maybe..10 kids out of the 100 with general majors.

What was wrong with your roommate originally? You can always try to get into the upperclassmen town houses in the future. That stuff wasn't even there when I was dorming.

the only thing that sucks about the commuter garage behind the track is that nobody cares about damaging your car. Never park in a corner spot, and people come barrelling up and down.
