Kickdown on AT...can the button be unplugged?

It's 1/4" OD Hard poly. Happens to be devils own brand.

Yours is exactly like mine. A piece of wood that is .2" thick would work perfect and be more rigid. I placed it farther up, just below the little rectangular stop above your washers.
