No good updates as of yet.

- One dealership came back with prices which were significantly higher (I expected that).
- Still waiting on one more dealership, hoping quote this week
- Mike (Maranello) said he doesn't have anything yet and will get back to me in 3-4 weeks (still!)

Spoke to both the dealerships yesterday.

One said he's still waiting for approval from the head etc of his dealership to lower the price. His ball park figure was still significantly higher than last years price.

Mike said he has submitted his proposal to VP of after sales who will speak to BMW Germany to see what can be done.

They both said the price of the PE went up this year and it all depends on how much stock they have on hand that they want to get rid of that would decide the discounted price.

From the looks of it, it would easily be another week or two before we find out more.

My performance exhaust is still for sale for those that dont want to risk waiting or a price increase. Its for a 335i E90, was used for <1yr (purchased last June). PM me if you want it - asking $1,050.

I'd be all over it if it was me. From the listing a lot of people who join the group buy are looking for non-335 exhaust.

thanks man - also, ppl should thank you for the initiative you are taking to organize this GB. I did one last yr for coilovers... takes some effort for sure but savings are always good. I would also start asking US dealerships to see what they could do for you and look to pick up parts in Buffalo and import them.

Kbimmer gets the credit for this group buy, I'm just helping him out here and there.

I thought you did an excel calculation for me showing how savings from US are minimum lol so I dropped the idea haha. The problem though is getting dinged with customs!

yeah from their posted prices - Im sure if you got 20 exhausts to buy, they would help with pricing. You can rent 1 large truck and bring them all together. Yes, unfortunately you will get dinged with customs but you'd have to pay taxes in Canada anyways so its a wash.

Anxiously waiting for this group buy. I’m starting to consider the Magnaflow cat-back more because it is price. I do prefer the sound of the PE but Georgian BMW just gave me a price of $1,330.00, that’s $400 more than I can get a Magnaflow for and from the videos ive looked at the Magnaflow still has a great sound. Idk….

Still waiting on the pricing from the dealerships... Only one came back but the price wasn't too good (around $1100 for non-335 E90 exhaust and the rest are of course more expensive).

Let's see what else comes through. I'm trying to get in touch with the guy for an update but it's almost impossible.

UPDATE, so I spoke to all the three dealerships who were willing to do a group buy. One thing that is consistent between all three is that the price of the PE did go up. They had another promo running (which some of you would have heard of) related to kidney grills, mirror caps, stage 1 and PE so they were all hesitant to give a deal out.

The best deal is from BMW Toronto. It's higher than what Mike had last year, but this years quote that I got from Mike (limited quantities) is higher than BMW Toronto. I do think the 335 guys would benefit from it more than the non-335 guys, but that's okay I guess lol.

I'll send a PM to the following guys with pricing info and what needs to be done next, so I can provide the list to BMW Toronto.

did you guys try contacting Budds BMW in oakville, i got my performance exhaust from Ted over at their budds performance division and i was really happy with their customer service and he gave me a pretty decent price too, so im sure he can hook you guys up for a group buy. my experience with maranello bmw and bmw of mississauga has been pretty crap to be honest, even though i bought my car from bmw mississauga, i probabaly left them 3 voicemails asking about the PE but never got a response (their parts division is ok, but their service sucks). give Ted a call over at budds if you havent already. they also carry the dinan products there if some people want that option they might work that into the group buy too

Just an FYI - The Mods closed the other thread on performance exhaust stating that I'm not a vendor. I contacted another moderator and he thinks it shouldn't have been closed. I didn't bother opening another thread, but group buy on PE will be closed tomorrow - We didn't have 10 so I'll see if it even goes through.
