i hate to be the nark that says it, but i always feel bad haha
I disagree. Most of these guys who post pictures of their cars on the forums are specifically asking for feedback. If it is nice, they will receive praise but if it is fugly, then they will receive the appropriate flames. If you are not prepared to handle the feedback whether it be good or bad, then don't post pictures of your car on the internetz.

Do you really expect the community to post only if it is positive feedback? So if I post a picture of my BMW with the entire catalog of Autozone chrome trim pieces and fake hood scoops/vents and two tone green and purple flame paint job, would you not expect to get flamed for it? For the record, I have not once criticized anyone for their modding tastes but I believe everyone has the right to do so if someone posts a picture of their car on the internetz.

Not an overused statement but excessive use of shorthand/'txt' language. Really - if you're not going to put the time into making a proper post, then why would I take the time to type a reply at all?

Statements:

"hella flush"

"drop it and put spacers"

"what u guys think???"

"335 w/ JB4 vs ... "

"i need help"

"what's a good [xxxxx]"

"will this void my warranty"

"[xxxxx] downpipe vs [yyyyy] downpipe"

It's pretty annoying when someone posts a pic asking for feedback on their car/mod and end up getting bashed. Then the op goes off on everyone who bashed and it turns into a war. Can't take constructive criticism even if they ask for it.

Also in the tuner section, the tuner wars. "Hey, just installed a (name of tune)..." followed almost instantly by a (name of different tune) user making a timing/knocking comment.

I'm a newbie and all the acronyms I need to get used to... In the last two days I've searched thousands of DIY ... Lol I didn't even know what that means but yeah warranty is gone so I can't wait to have some fun. I Read a question hat said "what's the maximum low". Like how low can he drop the car prior to scraping... I dot know but this is fun and u can tell cause I'm still typing. Enjoy the differences!

In a 'got a drop' post
the OP asking if he needs an alignment as an immediate 2nd post
or someone just HAS to say 'let it settle for X weeks, then get an alignment'

Is it like some kind of PROVEN procedure, like pre/post natal care?

I am NOT going to get an alignment after I change my springs, because my alignment is FINE.

I've got a few
1) Mustang is faster around Laguna Seca then the M3 (and Mustang interiors are much better)
2) Audi has better interiors then BMW
3) GTR is better then...
4) You're such a fanboy

+People who post pics of hot chicks as their avatar
It's distracting, if you're not that chick, don't post a pic of one.
And the abs/ass/bent over posing whatever ones are the worse .. sorry guys.
The girl must accompany a car, or my primitive brain has trouble distinguishing if you are the girl.. when I see the car next to girl, I know, ok safe to oggle

Any comment from E90post, like anyone really gives a fuck about base 3 series cars (non-M3), that is posted in or gets moved to the "universal" forums.

'Redneck', or similarily when one black guy calls another a 'gangsta'
But Asians ARE allowed to call each other 'bros'
