Shiv, same question but for MT for tracking (no meth) !!!!

The 58mm is a pretty sweet match for the 6AT since it naturally selects a relatively high gear, keeping revs in the 2500-3000rpm range when in D or DS mode. This suits the 58mm well regardless of at what max RPM it upshifts at WOT. If you drive around in Manual mode, the 62mm will suit you fine. But until we successfully remap the TCU, you won't make use of the extra airflow the big turbo will support. But even the 58mm will be capable of supporting over 600whp it seems.

I'm testing a 58mm 6AT right now and it's awfully fast, even at just 22psi of boost. I suspect it will make around 570whp@6200rpm at 23-24psi on the Dynojet. Will know soon enough. Here are some logs from yesterday and this morning. 3rd to 4th gear WOT runs with the transmission upshifting automatically:

With traction issues in 3rd gear this morning!

Shiv, is the tune intentionally limiting the torque in the midrange producing that table-flat torque curve? It's pretty cool, just wondering if that is intentional or a characteristic of the turbo that doesn't run out of flow.

It was intentional since we didn't want to make absurdly/unnecessarily high torque numbers. So I just programmed a boost target curve that generated a nice smooth/flat power curve. When dealing with 650+whp, having a flat and predictable torque curve is useful and very enjoyable. Makes managing traction surprisingly easy since your right foot basically acts like a torque output dial

wow... 58mm looks great on 6AT!!! I drive around the city in D or DS mode, but when I'm tracking on my car, I definitely drive in Manual mode~ Are you saying 62mm is capable of making 50 or more whp than a 58mm turbo?

I will keep this car for a few more year and I will keep modding the car. After tranny upgrade or possibly fuel system upgrade and TCU remap in the future, do you think 62mm would be a better choice for me?

Would you please make a comparison dyno graph of a 58mm and 62mm turbo after you did a dyno on both 58mm & 62mm on 6AT?
