Yeah, it's now a "specialty" plate so it can be ordered just like all the other ones. Just going to take longer because of the back order.

I GOT MINE TODAY!!!!

I didn't get a letter like other people. I did not get a personalized plate, so maybe that's why?

They didn't give the same plate number. It starts with a B and its only 6 digits long. Also came with a new registration card and stickers.

I submitted my application in December 2014 and they cashed my check in late February.

Can you comment on how the plates appear quality-wise? There was some fear in the classic/muscle car community that they would look like novelty plates.

From what I understand these plates are stamped from the original molds. These look great! I'll try and post some pics

Anybody else getting an error when trying to process payment? I've tried 2 different cards and E-check. So I'm thinking it's on the DMV's end. Thought it was my card at first.

Could also be due to their servers being down for weekly maintenance and unable to process new orders. I'll try again tomorrow.

I got the letter from DMV on Monday this week saying that my personalized plates should be ready for pick up at the DMV office in 8-12 weeks! Can't wait

Just put my order in on the DMV website, although it was having trouble taking any of my card, but I submitted it anyways and now time to cross my fingers!

Just saw a white 435i with black plates on Oso Pkwy in OC!

Plate had same first "B" and last "0" on it!

So, DMV actually called me today about the plate.

My registration is due in September, and I need a smog check. So they called to inform me that they will be waiting to fulfill my request until the smog check and registration is submitted so I don't essentially waste the $50 for the plate, and then come Sept the renewal cost ($40) for new stickers. I thought that was cool. In addition he told me my 2 personalized plate selections were used, and my 3rd was denied.
