Does the Alpina flash change the downshift behavior? I haven't had my '11 335i long but the transmission is starting to annoy me. If I'm in D or DS and go WOT it will downshift into a gear with the RPMs above peak horsepower like 6k+ RPMs and then it has to shift again in almost no time. I'd rather it just jump one gear higher and be in the powerband.
It even does this in manual mode. I can be in M3 at 3k RPMs and go WOT and it will downshift on me. It's incredibly aggravating, especially when I'm trying to do 3rd gear pulls for my JB4 Map 5 autotune and I can't even get it to stay in gear to do a full run from low RPMs to redline. Edit: Never mind, found the DIY kickdown blocker threads. Last edited by -null; 09-17-2015 at 02:21 PM.. |

Alex, is there any way to program for more control- as in, to hold a gear as commanded, without automatically up shifting at redline or downshifting without driver input? It would be advantageous to be able to hold gears for certain Motorsport situations rather than the computer over-riding commands and causing unrequested shifts.
Excuse me if this has already been covered and I overlooked it! Thanks, Brian |

Has anyone experienced that the "M" mode shifts like stock from "D" mode, but when shifting in "M" mode from "S" mode (gear shifted left to DS), it shifts quickly as the Alpina B3 flash should?
Basically it shifts like stock if you use paddles from "D" mode (slow gear changes), rather than using paddles from "S" mode (fast gear changes).

Just gonna leave a message here to remind myself to get this upgrade.
I should be set with my JB4, DP's, CP/BOV, Exhaust, Intercooler very soon. Alpina flash with some extra coding options is next. |

Out of the many hundreds of vehicles done here on the forums, and the many I have seen, no one has a DSC error. This is problem you are having with something else. |
