ANYONE !!! Does anyone have the correct MCU.BIN files for the Eonon D5165? The D5150 files that Eonon sent me really messed not just my radio up, but my car as well, for I cannot use steering wheel functions, dashboard is incorrect, and just need the original D5165 files to get it back to what it was. Or please lead me to the correct place where i can download the MCU.BIN files..any help would be appreciated !!!

Just keep in mind, the 5150 software isnt the same as the 5165, 5150 headunit doesnt have heated seat functions, so the commands for the 5150 will be different than the 5165, hence no canbus features anymore. Just need the MCU.BIN for the 5165 and that should put it back to how it was prior to the 5150 update.

Hi quick question,

I have a 2006 330I with NO factory navigation, will this work for me? Is the price 349 for the model I would need?

Will my steering wheel controls still work? How long is shipping to NJ?

Do you have Logic 7 audio system ? If not then your plug and play would be simple, but if you do, I did post alternative wiring. Either case, this head unit will work with your car. Steering wheel controls work well. I am located in NY state and i order on a monday and got package friday morning.

Thanks for your response. I believe I do not have the logic 7 sound system, I removed the vent from the center of the dash and it does not have a speaker in there. That's the only difference right? I have tweeters on the doors.

Also check in the trunk on driver side, and pry open the plastic lid, if you have an amp there, you have logic 7, if not, you are fortunate and can use this unit with no additional wiring

Thank you, that was the correct file for the 5165 that put it back to how it was. So although the volume issue still remains, I will take a functioning radio instead.

Hi shaushshaush, glad to hear the unit back to the normal working condition.
And for the volume, as I’ve known from our tech, it has something to do with the speakers wiring, if you have time you can try to connect a 4 Ω resistance to the output of the speaker in a professional store. If you have external amp, please check if the wiring is correct. Thanks a lot!

Use to be an installer at Circuit City before they went out of business so I am knowledgeable in head unit installs and professional installs. I would have accepted you guys just mentioning that its something that you are working on rather than tell me either (1) turn the "Loud" feature off or (2) my install is incorrect.

Hi andrewsonic, D5165 is very popular and run out of stock now, but the new batch will be back around the end of this week. First come, first served! You guys can just register firstly so that we will ship it to you soon once it’s back in stock.

D5165 can work with your 07 E92. It can not comatible with Sirius but the built in AM/FM function of the unit is very good also. Our other US customers all like it.
