seriously tho, this reminds me of the other thread about the 10 car stereotypes that says 3 series drivers think 3 series are the best cars in the world and everything else is a piece of crap.

![]() I think IMO the reason why the G37 users only try to compare gadgets against us is because they got nothin else to compare against.. especially our engines ![]()

If you would have said a 335 or the G37, I can understand that because it is more powerful but a 328 over a G37, NEVER man, NEVER. |

For Canada only, you can get factory Satellite in a G37.. or even a Hyundai... No such luck for a 335.. BMW Canada.. just slightly behind on things that don't matter to us .. except price

I drove both on the same day before deciding on the 335i coupe ![]() My impressions: G37- More gadgets and gizmos Feels faster but probably due to the fact that the power delivery is not a linear as in the 335i 335i After driving the G37 and then an hour later driving the 335i, the 335i just felt more refined, and it was a car i could see owning for the next 7 or so years. Both cars are very nice and im sure you would be happy with either, you really should test them both out for yourself and make an informed decision. I mean would you really buy either car based solely on e90 forum opinions?? Anyways it was fun whipping around the town and highways in both cars ![]() |

Looks are a purely subjective thing, although there could sometimes be almost a concensus as to ugly(pontiac Aztek comes to mind but some people still bought it), its much harder to say if one car is definitely better looking than another to any particular person when they are both decent looking to start with. I personally happen to think the G37 does not look so good with the sport bumper that does not flow, and a side view that lacks a defined character line. The car looks bulky to me, although I must admit the 335i looks like it could be sleeker too. Still I like the overall look of the 335i over the G37 this time around. Maybe a future generation of either car would change my mind again. Every car has its issues in the first year. The press picked on the G37's clutch for example. So ultimately the decision comes down to whether you want to pay extra for the 335i or not. Options don't make my buying decision, I tend to not like a overly technically complex car. I prefer a simpler driving machine for the most part. |

Nobody will deny the G3x offers tremendous value. Some people don't want to spend what a 335 costs, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Some can't afford a 335. I never see a 335 driver trying to claim his car is better value, has a better interior, performs better than a Cayman S. All of us who drive 335's know for a fact the Cayman S is a better car. I don't know why G3x owners are always in denial with regard to the 335. Again, there is not one category in the R&T test where the G37 beat the 335. Not one. Those are stats and hard numbers, not someone's opinion. I think the G3x's are great cars. But if the only thing you care about is feeling that your car is better than another model, then compare the G to the TL and Avalon and Passat. |

I dont disagree with you at all. However, i do disagree with you saying that we are always in denial with the 335. No one feels the 335 isnt a great car but it is CLOSE competition to the G37, as ALL magazines have stated(some stating one or the other on top). Also, if you want to make that point of numbers then why do 328i drivers compare it with the G35 when clearly as you stated the "hard" numbers state it is a better car. Also, I doubt the reasons are that people cant afford the 335 but rather they may not see the point of paying 6K more for a car that is THAT close in performance and style. Thats where im at right now. However, fact remains the 335 is an excellent car, IMO. LOL, however it did take them (BMW) 4 years to make a response to the G35. ![]() ![]() |

This is funny considering the E46 came out in 2000 as an '01 (..sedan), and it took Infiniti 4 years to come out w/ a car to battle an aging platform (..and it was only marginally successful in that attempt). The E46 was done as of '05. Way to go Infiniti (...sarcasm)!

And come on man. Im not too sure of what the e46 series consist of, but please do not tell me you are talking about the 330i or 325i. I do believe a G35 can and has handled them. If im wrong of what an e46 is please excuse my ignorance, im pretty new to the BMW scene, but has been watching from the outside. |
