Jordan, can you do me a favor and check if the exhaust was actually shipped out please... I just tracked the package with fedex and it says that it was scheduled for delivery today, but the tracking information still hasn't been updated (its only said that the "package data transferred to fedex" for the past few days). I called FedEx and they said that a shipping label was printed out on Thursday, but that it was never shipped out. This is kind of dissappointing since I was planning on installing it today since it was scheduled for delivery today. The order is under Michael in NC. Thanks.

*edit* I just spoke to someone on the phone at CP-E who was very nice and informed me that the 335 exhausts will be shipped out today or tomorrow.

Heh, great first impression eh?

I'm really sorry about that Michael. We're trying to extend our second floor (where we keep our inventory) and ship out a lot of products before we break for Thanksgiving. I guess the label was printed, which shot an email out to you (prematurely). If you can, bear with us and we'll get you your goods! I think it'll be worth the wait, but I'm dying to hear to hear your thoughts of course

If the exhaust isn't shipped out by tomorrow I'll be on here to let you know what the story is.

I just tracked the exhaust with FedEx, and it was shipped out today. Its scheduled for delivery on Friday, I can't wait. BTW, the fedex weight turned out to be 46lbs with all of the packing material so the weight savings over stock looks to be around 30lbs or so.

I can't even begin to thank you guys for bearing with us on this. We've just been so swamped what with the holiday coming up. But, enough of the excuses. I think we got a majority of the exhausts out yesterday, and I imagine the remaining few will be shipped today.

Thanks so much for your patience, and when you do finally get them in please provide your honest feedback! Many, many people are waiting for some third-party, candid reviews, so help us out and brag a little about your new exhaust system when you get them in. And of course, if any of you have questions, concerns, or comments about the quality, fittment, or sound, please don't hesitate to call us and we'll be happy to help (301-576-6142)!

Hi, I have a few questions. Is there tax for out of state buyers? What payment methods do you guys accept? And also I'd like to know if there are different catbacks for the coupe and sedan? Asking this because I see some vendor only has an exhaust for either coupe or sedan. And of course, do you guys have any instock? Thanks!

And last question...I know it's been asked before but I just want to fully verify that it's 100% bolt on, right? Thanks

No, there is no tax for out of state buyers. I know that they accept Credit Cards because that's how I paid. Their system fits both the coupe and the sedan because it is somewhat adjustable. I just installed it yesterday so its fresh in my head, but basically there are two points where the system is adjustable. There is room to either shorten or lengthen the exhaust at the connection point from the first section (that connects to the downpipes) and the second section (the X-pipe), and also at the third section where the X-pipe connects to the rear muffler section. If you have a coupe, like me, I had to pull out each section as far as possible where the pipes slip over one another so that I could extend it so that the tips would stick out as far as possible, but if you have a sedan than I would assume that you would need to push the pipes together as much as possible since I believe that it is slightly shorter than the coupe. The end result was that my tips stuck in the bumper around 3/4" from the furthest point on my coupe bumper, so I could see this fitting a sedan without any problems as CP-E has stated.

Yes, it is 100% bolt-on, just unbolt the stock exhaust/hangers and re-use that hardware for the CP-E exhaust and bolt it up. It was a pretty straight forward install, I didn't need to modify anything to install it.

BTW, as far as sound goes, I have only had the chance to drive the car a little bit last night after the install, but it sounds AWESOME! I'll write a full review and take some sound clips after a few days of driving with it on the car, but from my initial driving I love it. It sounds very deep and very throaty, very german sounding. Thanks again CP-E, you have a satisfied customer here.

^How hard was it to install? I know you are familiar with working on your own car. I'm thinking about just taking it to my friend's shop to use their lift and doing it myself, assuming all I need is a ratchet and several sockets.

If you have ever done an exhaust install on any other platform, its really just as simple. Its a little more time consuming since you're dealing with two sets of pipes and you need to remove a large x-brace that's under the car, but if you are a DIY kind of person than you can do the install in under two hours on jack stands with taking your time. It took me a little longer since when I first fired up the car I heard/felt an exhaust leak right at the downpipe connection, and it turned out that the exhaust gasket was stuck on the stock exhaust and I forgot to put it back in. To make a long story short, I needed to drop half the exhaust to unbolt it at the downpipes so it took me an extra hour or so to re-do most of the install from my mistake. I was also painting the mufflers flat black in between going under the car so I guess that is also what took up some of my time. With a lift it will be that much easier. All you need are a few different ratchet sizes (I think I used an 8, 14, 15, 18mm sizes, and also I needed an 18mm open end to remove one of the hangers, as well as a T45 torx bit to remove the x-brace). CP-E included a set of instructions also that were helpful, but once you take a look under the car you can tell with common sense what needs to come off, and where the new exhaust parts go in. Basically, its not hard at all. If you know how to turn a wrench and you have the tools then it will be no problem at all.

Thanks, I will give it a shot. My friend has a hydrolic lift at the shop which makes things 100 times easier. I remember the old days of putting cars on jackstands and you have a foot of clearance between you and the ground, lol. This will be our first Euro exhaust install...we primary just work on Subies and Evos, anything from installing turbobacks and clutches to turbos. Thanks for the tip on the TORX, welcome to the world of BMW, eh?

I think I will give them a call on Monday since they're most likely close on this holiday weekend.

How did you have it on jackstands? The rear two jackpoints only, jacked up by the differential? Just wondering exaclty what you did. Thanks.

Scott, i'm sorry that is just a force of habit from my s2k days saying that it was on jack stands. I just backed the car up onto rhino ramps actually for the exhaust install, and to get a little more clearance when connecting the front pipes to the downpipes I just jacked up the passenger side of the car a little bit and put a jackstand next to it just for safety. With the plastic jackpoints I really don't even know where to put this car down on jackstands. I guess I would jack it up at the rear diff and put them at the jacking points, but I haven't tried it yet. I usually just work on one side of the car at a time so its not really a problem.

Honestly, my butt dyno isn't that sensitive, but I can tell you that the difference in sound is night and day. The car sounds like a beast now.

After looking at all of the bends and crimps in the stock exhaust I have no doubt that this exhaust frees up some power, but its almost impossible to feel 10whp or whatever it is. When you add an exhaust to any car though it seems like its faster though due to the more aggressive sound. I love taking the car out of gear now, it sounds so damn mean.
