Ah, no. Haven't made it up to the super store in a few weeks. No way any local packy is going to carry that.

My haul from today. Didn't see the the Zaya, TXSTYLE. But I was short on time and it's a big store. I'll look again next time.

The Zacapa is indeed smooth. Not quite the sweet finish of the Plantation 20, and that's a small minus in my book. Especially since the Zacapa is a good bit pricier. Still, an enjoyable rum. And since it hit 70F here today, it doesn't even feel out of season.

I picked up some Plantation 20yr based on your impression TXSTYLE, it's fantastic neat and with a single cube.
Previously I had been focused on single malts and bourbon, Four Roses being my recent bottle, previously I had been drinking Lagavulin (bit too peety honestly) and Glenmorangie. I see myself trying some more rums in the near future, should I try El Dorado next? |

El Dorado is worth a try no doubt. Not as pricey as Plantation but smooth and tasty. Keep an eye out for: Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva Probably my favorite Rum under $40. I'm telling you guys... I was once a Bourbon and Whiskey guy. I then was a Scotch guy. And then Cognac (still very fond and keep several bottles on hand). But when I was introduced to ultra premium Rums by a liquor store manager years ago, (who himself was a avid Scotch drinker) I never looked back and try as many as I can find. The flavors profile and smoothness are second to none! But then again, I love vanilla, honey, nuts, caramel all of which are present in all of these Rums. With one of my Gurkhas... Bliss. |

I am now on a hunt to locate this:
I must know if it is the same as my beloved Plantation XO 20, in a different packaging or is it a different rum altogether? Having my local store verify tomorrow. Stay tuned... |

In fact, that bottle I posted above is not listed on their website. I have been told by people in the industry that manufacturers do in fact re-package certain items for different markets and countries.
By the way, check out their website: https://www.plantationrum.com/rums-plantation#vintages |
