You cant take the gas cap off with the 'accessory' on
Had the key in the 'slot' yesterday and the motor was off but the radio and such were still on. Until I killed the accessory function, the cap would not remove.
I did not try with the acc off but the key inserted.

^^ Can't take off the gas cap? Or do you mean the fuel filler door was locked? The latter is a function of the door locks, isn't it? I mean, if you unlock the doors, even on accessory power, you can open the fuel door, but if they're locked, you can't. Isn't that how it works?

Nope, filler door was open and the cap would not turn. All I did was press the stop button (I think I pulled the key also) and walla..

Tried again - key in the 'slot' it can be opened. Accessory ON, no turn. And considering the amount of resistance it had, its not something coincidental. It was a physical limitation.

Little removable grills in the plenum chambers are neat. Makes cleaning out leaf debris so simple.

As one who was almost done in by a run-away 7 Series on the Mass Turnpike I was very glad to be able to turn the engine off. It was either that or throw it into neutral and over rev the engine.

The ability to stop your engine is key if you have a cold air intake. Sometimes you have no choice but to go through a monster puddle, especially in places like Florida. Get some speed, turn off car, go through water, turn on.

That has to be insanely dangerous. I live in Houston and trust me sometimes I need that throttle when hydroplaning. |
