literally have had the same one for 20 years. my dad's has got to be 30 years old now. it's adjustable flow/heat, and only a thousand watts so it's not too hot. It's made for shrinking polyester films on model airplanes. if you want to be really super baller, pick up a topflite trim iron. https://www.amazon.com/Hangar-9-ProT...s&sr=1-1-fkmr1 for the hard to stick concave corners and such. if you ever want to know how to handle film, just look up model aircraft covering tips. We've been doing it for 60 years with heat shrinkable film. there's also a bevy of specialty tools to make sure your seam overlaps are always consistent and perfect too. http://manuals.hobbico.com/top/topr2400-manual.pdf monokote smart trim. |

GP is one of the few survivors in the industry. Got big enough to buy everyone else. Quote:

I ordered a boot kit, they're going to do the labor. still cost me money, but at least I'm not taking apart the knuckle. and he quoted me a pretty good price for tires, so I'm willing to give them another shot. |

I'm going to think about wrapping my trim in matte black, it'd go well with the black mats the PO installed.

Nah, I think the wood anchors the car, makes it look planted on earth. Plus, it is dynamic, changes, with the elements, the light in the cabin, even the speed! it is shinny and blends superbly with the interior and the brightness outside, it reflects both!
That pic above is gorgeous! |

I ordered a drill brush set and cleaned a small area of my seats with the soft bristle brush and my god! The difference is night and day.
Going to do the entire car tomorrow. |

A friend of mine did a paint correction on it this week, very pleased with how it turned out.
Edit: it seems I've uh...not done the whole photo attachment thing correctly. Sorry. Last edited by JonOhh; 02-15-2020 at 06:08 PM.. |

Came pretty close to finishing my trim painting DIY..... Ended up having to redo the rear passenger door trim as that was the experiment piece which meant another trip to the store and watching paint dry.
