This is the kit, I used the white brush for the seats as it’s the softest.
Holikme 20Piece Drill Brush Attachments Set,Scrub Pads & Sponge, Power Scrubber Brush with Extend Long Attachment All purpose Clean for Grout, Tiles, Sinks, Bathtub, Bathroom, Kitchen https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T8FDKD3..._e0msEbDJ180QP Also used this steamer for some areas. Only the steamer, the brushes included were too shiff. Bissell, 39N7V Shot Hard Surface Steam Cleaner https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V39L623..._Y0msEbHH85M8R Here are some before and after photos. Night and day. * I have only had these seats for about 2k miles, so this is what they’ve really looked like since I had them. Grabbed the entire set from a junkyard. I never really cleaned them when I installed them but feels good to have them pretty clean now. I started on the front passenger seat and that one got the most love followed by the driver seat and I just rushed through the rest. They could all use a few more passes but even this took a while.

Yea it is! They were disgustingly dirty.
I’m sure the lighting makes a difference too but for the most part, a lot of dirt was cleaned off. I can’t imagine doing this by hand.

Finally started on my interior two tone swap. I'm going to be painting the roof on the car tomorrow black as well.
Feels good to actually get some work done. The old carpets were NASTY NASTY NASTY

I remember when I swapped out my gray carpet. What 2 tone are you doing? I had black and gray door panels. Still have the gray dash.

Simple oil change, which ended up with a whistle coming from the engine bay when engine was running.
Than the engine stalled and would do the same everytime I restarted it. After some sweating, plenty of cursing and discussions with some mechanically minded friends, which got me nowhere, I found a small vacuum hose had become disconnected. Not sure what it was but as it came from the engine, went down under the air filter box and up than disappears by the hood hinge, I assume it must be the vacuum line for the exhaust valve. After five hours of messing around the car is running fine again |

Here’s what I did. Vacuum all of it. Spray it all with windex and wipe that off just to get any loose dirt off that the vacuum didn’t pick up. Spray a mix of windex and armor all over them to lubricate the brush and loosen the dirt, then wipe with a damp cloth. Used Lexol leather cleaner on micro fiber to remove any armor all left behind. Finish with lexol leather conditioner. |

Yep. That is what I am doing! Share some photos. I have not seen very many examples.

Here are some photos of the car when I got it and some during the swap. I swapped it before I ever stated using the car lol. I never took any actual photos of it once installed but there’s a few I found where you can see the panel with the wood trim and the alu trim. I liked the look of it and used it till a few months ago when I switched to terra brown, as seen in my post above. Besides the seats and dash being gray, everything else I converted to black. Carpet, dash inserts, side dash panels, door scuff plates, center console, cup holders, end dash covers etc etc. basically anything that was black on the donor car besides the dash and seats was swapped over. 1 of 1. Soon to be 1 of 2. Last edited by Serf27; 02-17-2020 at 01:40 AM.. |

The black carpet looks so much better in these cars! Did you pick up a used set from car-part? Looks to be in great shape! |

I ran into a similar thing about a year ago. My e30 cut out on me on the highway and had to get towed. Dug around the engine bay for a couple weeks chasing the issue. It wasnt until I ended up buying a replacement DME and still having no luck, that i finally found ...my starter relay had wiggled loose. Pushed it back in and she started right back up immediately |
