2010 E91 x-Drive. Installed Sylvania Zevo LEDs for brake lights. I had gotten a code:
Fault code: 00A8B6 Left brake light is defective, PL3 from 07.14 and SA5A1: LED daytime running lights broken, PL3 from 07.14 and SA896: daytime running lights halogen left defective The brake lights were working but when I pulled the bulbs they were starting to darken so probably ready to go (and it's due for inspection in a couple of weeks). Decided to go with the LEDs (with load resistors, which I already had from a previous project on another car where I ended up not needing them). The DRLs seem to be working as well so that is another thing I will have to tackle sometime soon. I have had a code (Fault code: 00A8A9 High beam and cornering broken right) since I got the car two years ago, even though the high beam works fine but the cornering light does not work (yes, I tried a new bulb). Oh, and gave it a good vacuuming but then immediately loaded the dogs in to go to the dog park. |

Originally, the car came with base, heated, powered and back lumbar only. Then I found one good driver's sport (non M) seat that had heat, power, side and back lumbar. It plugged in and everything worked perfectly. Now, the newest M3 seats have all the otions; power, heat, back and side lumbar. I *hope* they plug in fine. Keep you posted! |

That's a pretty common leak sight. Mine might have the same deal, after 173,000 miles! I'd say the OEM radiator held up pretty well. I'm thinking of getting a CSF to replace it.

My car has been in the garage since November as it is winter in MN . I have been driving a 117hp 2009 honda fit as my winter car . It was sunny and a whopping 40 degrees here yesterday so I figured I'd take the BMW out. Flashed MHD stage 2+ v9.0 prior to pulling it out ( was v8.0 stage 2+ prior) and went for a nice 100 mile drive.
Man I forgot what it feels like to drive a truly powerful car, and now I am itching for winter to be over so I can drive it everyday again On another note, MHD v9.0 stage 2+ feels amazing, very smooth and instant power delivery , I like it better than v8.0 for sure . |

Put some JB MarineWeld over it in the mean time. By no means is it a permanent fix but I am curious to see how long it'll last. If I tracked this car the CSF would go in no doubt. The OEM held on this long though so that's probably the route I'll go.

That said, I'd pay $300 for a solid Aluminum radiator that was OEM spec. 🤔 |

Quick note on the seats: - The M3 seats win the award for most comfortable. It seems like more supple foam, plus the plusher leather. I was surprised by this. Certainly won the wife's approval! - The sport seats may just be a tad more supportive, but I'll wait to dial them in before fully deciding. Of course, I have to code out the active head restraints now, but not a big deal. The paint correction/polish went well. Hard not to be a little disappointed working on Silver and any light color really. The trade-off is the car takes a long time to look 'bad', unlike darker colors. Really brought out the flake! For 105k it came out pretty good. A lot of the black trim came back to life with some DLUX ceramic but the main window molding that runs the length of the car only came out just ok. Rails, lower window trim all came back like new. Good mid life cycle reconditioning of the family workhorse. Also, I really dislike these stock wheels. Waiting for nsjames to produce some stunning wheels on his light-colored wagon... let's see them! And after being up close with it working on the paint I think this is my favorite design element of this car. Many BMW wagons have this in varying degrees. The E91 hasn't needed anything so I mounted my period correct "no space" BMWCCA badge on my 2002. It didn't come with mounting hardware, so I made a quick mount with some nylon sheet, I picked up from work.

Makes sense. I’ve forgotten about Midwest weather - no point in mounting them only to trash them.
