I hate short trips personally. Too much hassle for a short trip for me. If I'm going on a trip (esp flying), I'd want to stay up for a few days to do as much as possible... That's just me.

Yeah, they had to pick this weekend to go, the one weekend in the last 2 months that my wife had to work

As do I....I'll probably have to nix the SF trip, and save it for another time that we can at least spend a full weekend or more up there.

I'm down for a full weekend. I might take a trip at the end of October for the fiance's bday, the last weekend is actually Nov 2nd (Fri).

i love short trips. i get impatient too quick! unless it's a big town with lots to do (SF, NYC, Chicago....)
but if u send me to hawaii or something like that i'd wanna leave in like 4 hours

yeah if the plane ticket was a tad cheaper, i'd be going, but in the time that my wife found out her work schedule, the plane ticket jumped up $40/person

I love spontaneity but there's too much to do in both SoCal and NorCal to have to drive all the way across the state. For me, spontaneity would be LA, SD, or as far as Santa Barbara.

1. Santa Barbara (Not sure what itinerary I would do there)
2. Hearst Castle + wine tasting- Probably not a great choice for you due to the walking involved, not to mention alcohol.

Makes sense. I used pull day trips to socal, but they now become 2-3 day trips at least.

if u guys go to SB im in for sure... not sure if that encourages you guys or not

if you go to SB eat breakfast at Sambo's, then your big meal should be at enterprise fish co.
