Tried tracking down and fixing 2C6A 02 sensor mix up code. Found out one of the last owners wired in a downpipe fix and wired it all ghetto. Feel like one of the last owners put the car back to stock and then saw their wiring job and went "im not messing with that" then sold it

I haven't gotten to taking this out yet(busy painting and doing some wiring). An approach I might try is to run a thin wire under the seal and "floss" it away to cut through all of it. I can update you once I do it. Keep in mind I am getting new lenses, so maybe this method might not be for you.
I've never had success using the oven to open a headlamp. By the time you get it out and to the workbench it's already lost 40-50 degrees of temp.

Using wire maybe, I've cut windshields free using the same technique. I imagine the sealant is pretty similar. Some urethane joint.

I'll have to pull that thing out of the parts room and take a real go at it.

I would like to put new lenses on both of mine, as they are crazing on the inside, so buffing isn't getting them as clear and crisp as I'd like them to be.

Did you find OE equivalent lenses somewhere?

I think I found them. I don't understand why lenses would cost $130+ from vendors __ when they are just plastic. I found a seller on ali express that says they are for xenons and the photo has the screws for angel eyes. I will find out for sure how well they fit in the next week or two I think. Shipping takes a while. There's quite a bit of them on ali express you just have to search for the ones that specifically say xenon. I figured I rather "risk" buying $35 lenses than expensive ones that are probably the exact same thing. If they fit well i can send you a link to the exact same seller in the future. I don't want to lead someone in the wrong direction.

well do update, and if they're not trash I'd like the link for sure.

no sense in putting nasty lenses back on.
I have a feeling this means I'm about to do headlamp things.

wheels first though.

Replace your LPFS with the updated version. It's only $30.00 at FCP. It's best to ensure the data you are getting is accurate. If then, replace the LPFP. It's $170 or so at FCP. No big deal. Fuel pressure should be 65 or so at WOT. 74 even 84 at idol or just cruising around. If your pressure is in the 50's or lower at WOT, it's time for a change to a new or better than new LPFP.

I admire your effort here, but in the future it's way easier to remove them for paint.
same goes with anything that's just screwed/taped to the body. If you can take it off it's easier to mask and paint.

final results turned out good.

wheel stupidity continues, but at least I'm on the easy and rewarding side of the curve.

my start/stop button was sad.

ebay five dollar holler isn't perfect, but better than 12 year old one.

I have found that the lazy route often takes more time and effort than just doing it properly.

go slow to work fast is something that has taken me many years to understand.

[james may] that's casual[/james may]

I couldn't take a red button everyday.
hell, I've stripped just about everything out of my cluster.

the less "busy" the interior is the happier I am.

I don't even really care for how glossy this one is, but it's better than the one that's leaking light where it's all worn through.
