yeah, the thing keeping me away from the range are those "issues".
I had a friend take a brand new one, 2 weeks old to vegas.
the thing broke down on I-15 in the middle of NOWHERE!
but the dealer trailered him out another one: same color, same options with the addition of one or two extra options, did an even trade on the spot, signed papers, and had them on their way. Talk about customer service

If we get the range, I may spring for a used one (maybe one year old), those things new, drop in value so fast, i just don't see the point in getting a brand new one

I always do appreciate your honesty my man....
Like I've always stated, I was ho-hum on my wheels as well
but my friend kept telling me they look good on the bimmers...so I trusted him. Besides, the guy is around these wheels all the time

He has the new LS??? Get the LS, you can utilize your JDM hookups as well. It's a comfortable car that will last for years. I hear wayyy too many bad things about the Range Rovers. I have a bunch of neighbors with them, a lot of them went back to American SUVs.

E63 or M5, wow both would be nice. Wait, are you going to get this car, or the wife? I say you take the 335i and get her a LS if it fits your budget. I wouldn't want to worry about two German cars.

LoL
yeah he has the new LS...
That day he went for a ride in my car up the 2 fwy, we met up at Lexus of Glendale. he took his LS in for some minor things and I got to sit in that beast. What a beast it is.

as for the LS for the wifey, It may be a bit too much car for her, but we'll see.

On a side note, anybody know what the KW V2 damper settings come set at default?

The SMG is nice when in the right mode. And they has SOO many modes. The standard cruising mode is really jerky during shifts.

The E63 7 speed is actully really nice! And I like how 100% of the power is available 100% of the time. No buttons need to be pushed.

I havent driven the new M5, I thought SMG III changed that and you can also choose the aggressiveness of how the SMG shifts?

I still feel a jolt even at it's least aggressive mode. Driving that car and switching through modes gives me a headache. But I'm sure anyone can get used to it really fast.
