Iam trying to update the maps on my E91 with cic, i manage to pull the 1b.hex file from the car and generate the fsc code but the car says that is the wrong code.

Maps - Europe west premium 2025-1
Car date - 12-2009
VIN - A669848

Hi,
I'm trying to install the 2024-2 maps on my Mini Countryman's iDrive 5. But it does not ask for an activation key but rather shows an error message after finding the maps on the USB drive

Error message: "Connect USB device with correct activation code"
iDrive version: NBTevo J163831

I have everything I need to generate my own FSC and update my maps, but cant find the instructions on how to do it.
I have several tools, but my technical skills have so far not led me to a solution.
CIC headunits were not installed in 2019 X3's so the USB method from the original post wont work.
Do I need an Enet cable to generate the FSC, is there any other way? I have the map on a USB, just need FSC.

I just need help doing this once, and I can easily replicate it for myself later on.

FSC Code for a 2019 G01 cannot simply be generated. You need head unit patch and full set of custom FSC Codes. PM sent.

I have downloaded the map "Road Map Europe Evo 2024-2" and detects it in the USB.
I've been trying to extract the car file from the car and I don't.
There is some other way of extracting the hex file

I have downloaded map files but am not sure what I should copy to the USB stick root from the files and folders that I have downloaded.

What did I do wrong? I put the two files from the 1b.zip on a FAT32 USB, waited for navigation to initialize, plugged it into the USB port in the glove box, and then my screen asked me to enter the activation code. It was working fine before I plugged in the stick. Do I now have to purchase an FSC code to restore it to functionality?
