See I bought H8s because that is what I thought I needed but then I took the damn headlight apart and found this stupid contraption that bmw made:

So unless I'm missing something I have to buy that style of bulb and socket together.

The scene is decent. Plenty of BMWCCA stuff from my understanding, if that is your thing, track days, autoX, etc. I'd check out their website/forum for event information.

Other than that we have 'meet n eat' meets every couple of months. I know I want to hit the strip a couple times and I'm sure there are other guys so I imagine a meet or two there as well.

There are plenty of car related events in the area, almost weekly it seems. Cars & coffe, state park meets, tuner meets, etc.

Wow, so lots of stuff going on! I've been wanting to autocross for a little while now, almost went last month but it rained, figured that wouldn't be the best situation for a noob. Will look forward to checking out all this stuff. Thanks for all the input!

Thanks! Madison is pretty cool actually. We moved up here from Houston for my wife's job and I was a bit skeptical, but once I visited to check it out I was sold and now I'm actually a little sad to be leaving, and have been here for only 1.5 yrs. I could explain in more detail on PM if you'd like, but just the general feel of the city and having the two big lakes makes it a pretty nice place to live.

figured out how to add a car to the 'garage' it still looks kind of empty...now I need more mods...or really hp...

This brown 4 door VW tried to race me, I pulled away from him but then I shut it down as we hit traffic and he drove like an idiot weaving and almost causing an accident. I never took it out of 5th but I was surprised kept up all well as he did. I wonder what is was? Maybe a Phaeton? Which btw is a horrible stupid car, if I'm going to pay 80k I don't want the car to look like an entry level 25k commuter...

Today after attempting to torch the wastegate arm nut in order to get it loose and failing to loosen it I have decided the only way my rattle will disappear is If i replace the turbo. Sucks
