G37s navi is nice... u can just talk and it will fill the address for ya.. or go 'find me gas station'... its real smart

You have an 06. All you have to do is press a sequence of buttons. The 07 actually requires going behind the Nav unit and cutting some wires.

I hate all the little nannies the IS has man. Can't view the playlist, can't change the destination, the seatbelt warning chime starts right when you start driving, and gets progressively faster, man it's too in your face!

man.. i should pay more attention to the nav hacks.. thanks for the info..

but yes, i hate it too.. too over-protective like parents

Honestly, my +1 prefers my Navigation over the Lexus hands down. I do too. The map on the Lexus and the buttons really aren't that intuitive. Like, how do you get to route list on your IS? I can't find it for the life of me. What I mean is, a manual list of turns that you can see the whole route. The width of the map bothers me too, much nicer in the I-Drive. Nabil complains about I-Drive all the time but honestly I think it's better than the Lexus version. I love how you can zoom in/zoom out with the knob on the BMW, it's much faster.

The directions seem better as well. I remember coming home from Long's house it told me to take the 5 S > 91 E > 405 S > 5 S. WTF. I normally take the 5 S all the way down. Not to mention the lack of RTTI. The guys on ClubLexus complain about I-Drive 24/7 but I totally disagree. I drive the IS about 3 times a week.

The Touchscreen is a nice little feature but the buttons aren't that intuitive. They don't have all the options I want on the screen either. (Route list for one). The back-up camera is very nice though. Decently clear.
