There is no perfect looking car.

The stingray obviously doesn't look as good, when we now know what the z06 looks like.

The only thing i would fix on the C8 is the boomerang but it's not a big deal. And the z06 does make it look more aggressive.

It's a radical looking design for GM's first go at a ME corvette. I think they did a phenomenal job. And with all the craze about it, just proves that. You will have haters but that comes with the territory about any car.

It's just odd because people show a lot of hate for corvettes yet when i'm in mine, everyone can't stop looking, smiling, giving the thumbs up, taking pictures or trying to talk at lights or when i'm parked somewhere.

Those are definitely amazing looking cars. But perfect? No not at all.

There is no perfect looking car. Because perfect means in the sense that EVERYONE, literally everyone, which is impossible, will find that car perfect.

If you're not on any list, it's too late, IMHO to get one at MSRP new. You will have to wait for the used market. And if you go with a smaller dealer that somehow might get one in a couple of years, chances are you're overpaying.

Last time i checked, i was 154 at MM for a z06. So unless they only get 100 allocations for the first model year, i should get mine around spring, i hope. Oddly i'll be getting my stingray around the same time lol.

Nah, they’re actually perfect. Point is GM could have easily done better. The z06 looks like a horse’s ass compared to those cars. I still want one though.

I mean you do have an FF so I can see why you think those cars are visually flawless....

Let's be honest though, what American product is more aesthetically pleasing than it's italian counterpart? Suits, shoes, food, cars, etc all look better from Italy, lol.

Oh i'm not trying to get one. I'm all set right now. May be going backwards in the car spectrum early next year. I miss my 600LT.
I did have c7z two years ago, i have high hopes for the new one. I know it wont dissapoint. Going to slap alot people around.

I just don’t see why GM had to force all these weird sharp/angular edges, it really screws with the flow of the design. All 3 of those cars have flowing lines that don’t look choppy, they’re cohesive to the design of the car. It’s not like the C8 looks bad, it just could have been so much better.

Those are all at a price point far beyond the Z06 and the other 3 though. A Pagani looks great too but a $100-200k car will never have that level of fit and finish.

Right. And I don’t agree with that which is my point. Not everyone can agree a single car is perfect.

Plus the z06 outperforms those cars you mentioned anyway so we’re back to the subject of the cost to reward ratio.

Some of these cars don't look good, like the Ferrari FF, which looks like a bloated Z4 hardtop, 918 is decent, but the Carrera GT had the "abrupt" "chopped off" design look at the end of the cab with no taper. Pagani is no looker either IMO, maybe put together well, but its no Ferrari. There are plenty of "good" looking Ferrari and Porsche designs, but the point is, not all of these are a home-run. The Corvette attracts attention and manages to carry over design cues from the C7. It's not flat out the best looking mid-engine car ever...but they can do a lot worse too.

So you think Ferrari is well put together? Based off what? Have you worked on one?

I agree. I like 85 percent of the Z06. My problem is that the back end is a fucking abomination!! How the hell did they design the first 85% great, then just destroy that back? I feel the same with the Front of the new M cars. Love everything about it but then the front is a damn train wreck😳. Of course these are my opinions only. I just feel like if both could have just been 50 less putrid, they would be sooooo much better. But they Ain't. 😢🥺

Over the last 30 years I have worked on a lot of exotic vehicles. Ferrari have among the best build quality of them. It might not have the build quality of a high-production brand, but they're high quality within the exotic segment.

If the c8 was a disaster it wouldn’t have been this much sought after. People want this car. Both the stingray and z06. People are willing to wait 12-14 months for a stingray. People are willing to wait 3-5 years for a z06.

I put my deposit for the z06 in fall of 2019. And if I get it in spring 2023 that’s almost 4 years I waited for this beast.

Is it perfect? No. But name another monster with the looks, specs and the capabilities were waiting on what it can do, for the price.

There is none. None. Zero.

That’s the point to this car and it’s craze. There is nothing like this.

So many complaining about the Z06 becoming out of reach seem to jump right to the used market as an alternative. Lotus' upcoming Emira is priced right there (my spec is $96k); yet I don't think I've heard a single person contemplate an Emira instead. It's even available with a manual transmission. Weird.
