Speaking from my experience with Sudbury, my SA (who unfortunately left the dealership) said the main items which would trigger questioning were downpipes. I had intakes in, but I reconnected my open DVs when my turbos were replaced. Honestly though, I'd swap whatever you can back to stock just in case.
Also, some other guys have replaced their vacuum lines separately. They pitched it to me, and I just had them do it despite the mark up. Carbon cleaning is a good idea when they have the motor out too. |

They didn't buy it and said no chance. My understanding is warranty jobs do not pay as well as out of warranty but you would think it would be best to keep the shop as busy as possible...what we really need is a local SA who takes $250 donations to ignore downpipes & other mods. Hell I would probably pay even more as two BNIB turbos is $1200 + install kit + labor cost = 2k or so I imagine.

I work for Subaru and can tell you that warranty doesnt pay shit but the shop should want to stay busy. But the only person that doesnt make out on warranty work is the tech. Parts guy still gets to sell the parts and the service department gets reimbursed

Rt. 15 (Merritt Pkwy) is my favorite. I jump on that, but once you cross into NY, it's game over. I'll be looking at the Swift Spec-R / Koni Yellow combo. |

KYB GR2s and sprint springs ftw.
In other news I crushed a 5 series the other day.

It was an inside joke, albeit a bad one. That is a common suspension 'upgrade' for some nissans. It wasn't even an upgrade as GR2s are basically factory replacements and sprint springs ride like ass.

I didn't even think it was a joke. Those setups were awful for the Maxima.

Man, apparently it's flat-out impossible to get a clean E30 under five grand these days. I've searched every single MA, CT, RI, NH, VT, and ME Craigslist and can't find a single one.
I was hoping to find a mechanically sound rot-free 1989-1992 five speed vert for a few grand and quickly realized that wasn't happening and expanded my criteria to any E30. Still nothing. Almost all the cars listed are either in the seven grand or higher range or have red flags like rust, aftermarket head units, other questionable mods, were winter driven (hello underbody rot), etc.
