hahahahaha. I think you need to add #14 - "likes women". I fit all 13, but I am a homo. I think you're going to be hard pressed to find ALL 13 of these qualities in a straight guy. Maybe lighten up on #1, #9 and #10. Good luck though

LOL can you imagine all the shit we'll bring up during the wedding? If she ends up with another douche, we won't say a thing but if she ends up with a really nice dude, I think we're all gonna have a really good chat with him before it gets too late.

I gotta be honest. Wearing fitted suits daily makes my bulge more noticeable and its very embarrassing and uncomfortable.

I think this list really says a lot about you and I'm finally convinced that you're not a troll, you're just a very very naive girl.

I met 5 of the 13 on the list. Kind of confused how I feel about that.

Who wears suits daily? Like even on weekends? Who is this dude, Harvey Specter?

What does "successful" mean in the "comes from successful family"? Like financially or successful relationships?

Credit score?

I really miss Litos during these tough times.

I'll play too...I meet 10 out of 13 of her criteria, albeit most are pretty superficial.

Yep time to either say she's trolling the fawk out of everybody and making this shit up or is broke beyond repair. In my chance encounter with the L man I tend to sway to the latter as he was/is/will be the biggest douche on earth. No offense to our resident Douche.

Some lessons in life, for some, are only learned by experience. It can't be taught or told. Unfortunately they're bound to keep repeating it until they learn and break the pattern. You can only sit and watch and hope they come out the other side ok.

Most of the items on that list are definitely reasonable. I don't know about the coming from a successful family. There are those of us who have by society's definition of success reached it but came from very modest blue collar families.

Anyways, with the things on the list, it's still a wonder why you still gravitate towards the douche bags especially when they violate some of the items on your list.

Really?

This is just a case of Compensatory Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Don't see too many of these prime examples outside of Facebook. I mean truly Grade A. What a treat we have here.

Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a personality disorder in which a person is excessively preoccupied with personal adequacy, power, prestige and vanity, mentally unable to see the destructive damage they are causing to themselves and others. It is a cluster B personality disorder.[1]

It is estimated that this condition affects one percent of the population, with rates greater for men.[2][3] First formulated in 1968, NPD was historically called megalomania, and is a form of severe egocentrism.[4]

Signs and symptoms[edit]
People with narcissistic personality disorder are characterized by exaggerated feelings of self-importance. They have a sense of entitlement and demonstrate grandiosity in their beliefs and behavior. They have a strong need for admiration, but lack feelings of empathy.[5]

DSM-5[edit]
Symptoms of this disorder, as defined by the DSM-5, include:[6]

A. Significant impairments in personality functioning manifested by:

1. Impairments in self functioning (a or b):
a. Identity: Excessive reference to others for self-definition and self-esteem regulation; exaggerated self-appraisal may be inflated or deflated, or vacillate between extremes; emotional regulation mirrors fluctuations in self-esteem.
b. Self-direction: Goal-setting is based on gaining approval from others; personal standards are unreasonably high in order to see oneself as exceptional, or too low based on a sense of entitlement; often unaware of own motivations.
AND
2. Impairments in interpersonal functioning (a or b):
a. Empathy: Impaired ability to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others; excessively attuned to reactions of others, but only if perceived as relevant to self; over- or underestimate of own effect on others.
b. Intimacy: Relationships largely superficial and exist to serve self-esteem regulation; mutuality constrained by little genuine interest in others' experiences and predominance of a need for personal gain

People rarely seek therapy for NPD. This is partly because NPD sufferers deny they have a problem. Most, if not all, cannot see the destructive damage they cause to themselves and to others and usually only seek treatment at the insistence of relatives and friends.[7]

--- Well that seems legit in this case
