I finally installed my cobb ap and it really is so much different then stock !!!
I did however have a service engine soon light still lit when I successfully installed the cobb . But I cleared it with the cobb ![]() Now I was just cruising around 30/40mph , is this normal to boost this high?? ![]()

You guys post a lot of the same questions...
![]() The peak boost recall is USELESS. Its measured pre throttle body. When the throttle closes it creates a false reading. Only boost worth noting about is sustained boost through a pull. Only accurate reading would be in the manifold. |

Question about peak HP gain, why the HP gain is significantly less for 535i compare to 335i? Just curious what losses?

Also drivetrain losses are different. I wouldnt question it too much as long as the delta is similar, the difference between stock and amount of HP gained. |

Got it today and installed today without any difficulty. This was a lot easier than five years ago with the WRX when I had to turn myself upside down to get to those damned test mode connector things.
I didn't get a chance to really drive it (downtown traffic and I only work 4 miles from home), but tomorrow evening will be good... I'm nervous about engine temps. I am one of those rare (after '07) cars WITHOUT a factory oil cooler despite getting the Sports Package (on xDrive coupes, the sports package did not include the oil cooler... it was a "hidden" option that was not written anywhere but only got put in if you ordered the larger wheels... what the HELL bmw? Impossible for the average customer to know about this without researching...) Anyway, I'll see how things go. I don't track or race or anything... I just like stepping on it for short sprints on the highway, entrance ramps, etc. These new v2 AccessPorts are so much nicer than the original AccessPort. those were big blocky things with a couple of lines of text display only. Then again, remember before that when Cobb just had the AccessECU and you had to mail in your ECU? ah, Cobb... it feels good to be part of your family again...

535 vs. 335 power differences
All you guys asking about / speculating why the differences in power on the 535 vs. the 335, I was wondering that myself, and started a thread on it here. Nothing to do with weight (IIRC, the 535 only weighs a few hundred pounds more?) Or with its more restrictive exhaust.

Is there only a 30 WHP bump in the stage 1 tune? I thought it was more than that? Or is that b/c it's an 07, and for 08+ models it's more?

Thats also on a mustang dyno, which increases load as speed increasing making it really hard on the engine to produce big hp numbers. for comparision, on a dynojet i agained 66hp.

Now that we have 07 support out in the market and becoming stabalized, I think next up was getting stage 2 maps out to the masses.
Any update on stage 2 cobb? |

Being new to this sort of thing, is this product able to be tracked by the dealer? I do not want to void warranty but sure do want the performance. I saw that you can clear the ECU data to get rid of the check engine lights and warnings, but can the dealer see that the ECU has been scrubbed? Thanks in advance for your input.
