We can thank the cooler weather for that

That way I dont have to worry about heatsoak as much. As soon as it gets warmer again is when I'll worry a little more. I'm hoping by Christmas I'll have my FMIC and AR catless dp's!

Hey Alex, I'm in New York. You in town, or are you back in Chicago? Any suggestions on where I should go get drunk? Hit me up if you're here, beer is on me.

i have to admit, your timing on this was good. I really have nothing to top that, so ill just slump down and post this picture of carlos from the hidden video camera in his basement after he watched jurassic park for the 196th time....

Your heading out there to visit his gf too?

I'm spending my time with her right now, we're in Chinatown. If she's good, I might buy her a fake Gucci purse.

I'm leaving here Friday night. Give me a text when you get here, we'll meet up. Or you can just stop by your girls place, I'll most likely be in her bedroom.

have the orig iphone, and the 3g, no need for a new batt yet...

alas, depends on recharge cycles though. if you let it partial charge a number of times in a row, it takes a few full charges to get back to full functioning state.

but, if you need a new battery, i believe its $50-70? and you just drop it off @ the apple store and they swap it out (not on the spot).

you can also try to get a replacement, if youre nice enough maybe theyll just give you a new one since the cost of a 3g is so low now.

How can you f-ing wait? If you drop the cash then install asap! Do it! Don't f-ing wait! You owe it to the wife. If you are just going to let it sit, you coulda spent it on her. She wants you to install it.

Re- VK: everything VK is top notch. I would have no reason to hesitate on the FMIC. Also, the VK DP's are hard to pass up at their price.

I got the following email today:

Concours Motors would like to invite you to experience a great value in this once-in-a-lifetime experience at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI! On Friday, October 16, 2009, please join us for the Drive for Babies. This opportunity, benefiting the March of Dimes, and co-sponsored by Porsche, raises money and awareness for babies. From pioneering genetic research to promoting folic acid to fighting for lifesaving newborn screening, the March of Dimes continues to do everything possible to make sure every baby is born healthy.
The Drive for Babies is a Sports Car Club of America event which allows you to drive your normal daily driver – or your special 'track only' car – on the four-mile Road America track. Your car will be inspected by our qualified technicians to be determined safe to drive at Road America. After determining your abilities by driving with your accompanying qualified instructor, you drive alone – or with your guest - at the speed at which you are comfortable. You do NOT need to have race experience to enjoy this event! The sessions are designed to get you up to speed at your own pace. The event is about you, the driver. You'll get plenty of seat time, plenty of individual instruction, and a ton of driving exercises - all designed to educate you and make you more confident behind the wheel, both on the track and on the street.

Drivers will receive a solid blend of driving instruction, ranging from classroom to in-car training to 'follow me' drills. A wide range of topics will be discussed including following a 'racing line', passing zones, speed limits, and other general driving techniques. And as a driver, you'll receive feedback from your instructor at the end of each lesson.

The Drive for Babies is an incredible value - you'll get nearly an hour and a half of race track time!
In addition to quality track time, you'll get lunch and dinner, and lots of conversation with other driving enthusiasts.

NEW THIS YEAR! - We will have a professional photographer at the event taking photos of the cars driving on the track and in the paddock! The edited photos will be available to view online shortly after the event, and available for purchase with all proceeds to benefit the March of Dimes.

ALSO NEW THIS YEAR! - Want to skip ahead in line during registration, tech, and on the grid during your session? Just bring $50 on the day of the event and head to the "Winner's Circle" Registration window! (No pre-registration for the Winner's Circle is available.) By contributing this additional amount, you'll be allowed to be first in line throughout the day! This opportunity is limited to the first 40 registrants, so get to the Registration window early! (It opens at 7:30AM) However, once the 40 spaces are filled, we will still accept donations!
You won't want to miss this opportunity!
Driver cost is $250, each guest is $50.
Registration begins at 7:30 AM
Technical inspections run from 7:30 till 8:45 AM
Mandatory drivers meeting 9:00 - 9:40 AM
Track time starts at 10:00 AM (your session depends on your driving experience)
Group 1: Advanced to expert high performance driving skills
Group 2: Advanced high performance driving skills
Group 3: Average high performance driving skills
Group 4: Beginning high performance driving skills

Anyone been to one of these? Will they have an issue with my mods?
