Quality is good for the price. I have no issues with it. The only minor thing is the cheap rubber feeling of the knob on the backside. Honestly, I don't miss the ugly bulky factory shift knob. This one gives it a more updated look and feel. I would recommend it. 137 shipped and it's plug n play.

Got the new shoes put on today. Needs a rear fender roll soon, as I stuffed PS4S in the rear and realized after the fact that they run a little big.

E90 330i touring glass hatch repair

I started looking at how to repair the glass hatch on my e90 touring - opens fine but doesn’t stay up. Anyone know how to fix this? Can’t find a thread on it?

I would start by searching for the right chassis... an e90 touring is an e91.

Searching e91 tailgate issues might help... a quick search of google gave me this.

If you're looking for a shop in the Philly area check out Helix. Also had them take out the ancient JB3 Pin out (did not want to mess with all those wires) and put on MHD 2+, wow is it a difference.
What were they going to charge you to do the cleaning. I need it done was debating on DIY but not really up for it. They did a mini for a friend of mine years ago they do great work.

I believe it was 350 for the walnut blast, and then they were recommending doing the oil at the same time but I had just changed mine so they were going to give me a deal on that if I brought the oil I had at home. I forget how much and the oil change isn't required. If you give them a call Tim is the one that answers he's a super knowledgeable guy and even talked to me about coilovers even though I wasn't buying from them and installing myself.

Replaced this disgusting OFHG. It's always satisfying to find something like this that has visibly failed! Usually I replace gaskets and they look perfectly fine.

New hood emblem. Scored a new oem
On eBay for 26$ couldn't go wrong. Of course I like to add a little strip of 3m double sided tape for extra security. The old Chinese one started fading. Here's a comparison side by side. What a difference.

I hear you! How much coolant did you bleed out? Was it 1 gallon or more than that? I have to do this job and I am wondering.

Less than 1 gallon if only removing the two hose connections, 1 at OFH and 1 at cylinder head.

Surprisingly, I only lost a few ounces. I just clamped off the upper radiator hose and pulled it off the OFH. I left the other hose connected.
I was going to drain the coolant too, but after searching I realized it probably wasn't necessary.

Went for a nice mountain drive with a mix of going slow and enjoying the scenery and getting a little antsy in the twisties. Got a little too carried away going down the mountain, though. Built up some speed pretty quickly just coasting which resulted in a speeding ticket. Live and learn.
