X5 Safety WIN!

My friend's Mom was broadsided in her X5 the other day by a guy going about 70 MPH up on Highland Drive in Holladay. Spun her around a bunch of times, but she walked away totally unhurt.

And a bonus - the guy who broadsided her was a drug dealer the police had been looking for and were able to arrest!

A cheap paint shop would just do that. The problem is it would not blend in with the rest of the back end of your car. The color is never 100% factory match.

Thats the only thing I wonder about when it comes to you getting a new trunk. Will you have to do the same, or will it never be a perfect match since its CF?

Just in case any of you ever wanted to do so, here is what happens when you travel 30,000 MILES on one oil change. This is a 3.0si engine from an X3. Car has 32,000 miles, never had an oil change. Intake cam froze, and wont spin anymore. All off the cam bearings are burnt and shot. We dont want to know whats wrong with the bottom end. If you can see it, the sludge is over 1/8th of an inch thick. When the tech pulled the drain plug, maybe half a quart of very thick chunky oil came out. Thats it. This car is supposed to hold 7 quarts of oil.

Nope, a blue Neon. I'll see if I can grab a pic or two.

There was a little blurb in the paper: http://www.deseretnews.com/article/7...-Holladay.html

The final speed estimate from the police was 78 MPH.

I love how BMWs can handle the crash, and how usually the occupants are totally fine. GO BMW!
