One of the coldest nights of last winter. Milwaukee lakefront. The moon was beautiful!

^^^Great shot, Ed. I'm finding the RX10 is a very capable all-around camera, but it lacks in some areas where my 6D and 24-105 combo excelled. Especially in lower light situations. Walking around inside castles and museums in London last week, I found the RX10's noise level to be a bit severe, even at relatively low ISO's. I was missing my 6D/24-105 combo. But it sure was nice being able to grab a wide angle shot and then zoom to 600mm for a bird shot without hauling around a ton of gear.

Yes, it is not a great indoor camera, where the sensor size limitations make themselves known quickly. I keep my Fuji gear for that type of work. Inversely my Fuji would never hope to grab 10 shots in a row of that duck perfectly in focus. Always a trade-off with the smaller lighter cameras.

It's that time of year for the Tule Elk at Point Reyes (The shot is focused correctly, but there was a lot of atmosphere between this gentleman and my car).

I think I found one of your gentleman's off-spring! My first Tule Elk photo taken over the 4th of July week at Point Reyes. -- Last edited by Terry989; 07-23-2019 at 03:43 AM.. |

This guy has wandered though the backyard every night for the past month or so. Never dawdles, just using it as a short cut to the food source.

I ditched Chrome and went back to Firefox. For some reason I didn't receive notices from xbimmers , so I've been out of touch. I'll try to fix that going forward. Lots of great posts while I was "out."
