I wish those under 5k wagons showed up when I was looking. Would be tempted by either.

Each one has a reason for the price. One has 270,000 miles.

I also don't know all of the rules, just that I've seen cars that weren't 25 years old and talked to owners about the process. Not easy but can be done. Older than 25 years and it is much easier.

Yup, I think all of us know with proper maintenance a BMW can go a long way.
I've had a few Volvos last well past 270,000 miles as well. |

Or perhaps confused by the addition of M3 control arms (which "crisps up" the steering response, but also does not change the steering ratio). That would be something to look for and check to see if that's the case.

Well I found a 2011 M Sport, 6 speed MT with 110,000 miles. Service records not documented. Original water pump. $13000 asking price. Shall have to check out.

Damn that thing is a freaking smoking deal... or at least it appears to be. I feel like it’s going to fly out of the lot granted it’s actually in good shape.

Let us know what happens. If I was near CT, I would have checked it out by now.

The car was in an accident, so find out where it was hit and how the repair looks.

ramp,
Did you buy the car? If so, what are the details of the accident it had, and how did the repair job and paintwork appear? I called Rick at the dealership at 2:20 to put a deposit on the car, but someone was there looking at it already. He called back just now and said the car had sold. My only concern though was this is an x-drive car that neither my wife nor I want. The slower steering ratio alone is enough turn me off of the x-drive cars, but add in the unnecessary weight and all too...ugh. We're sick of the horrid automatic in this 2007 E91 (should have bought a later model), but at this point after looking for the last two years for the right 6MT and color E91, I think I'm ready to say goodbye to the E91 for our duty car and start looking at F31s.

Well on the way to Long Island today, I stopped by the dealer. Took her out for a run, all seemed good. Tight suspension, no tracking issues, brakes were all smooth. The front bumper has been painted, OK job I've seen better. The dealer had no detailed information on accident other then to say air bags did not become activated. Little scratches here and there and the hood had a light dusting from road debris. I could get real picky but this is the car I have been looking for so yes, I bought it. I'm sure to develop a list of things that will need to be done. #1 "Original water pump".
