Also if you have DCT man, it won't handle the power at the horsepower peak im at now. I just got a new exhaust on mine. Im thinking of a FMIC and im done. I got a limp the other day. I shutted off the car and turned it on n it went away :O also if you notice how if your in m mode and you press P and it automaticly throws it in P? Mine sometimes do that now. sometimes it like has a problem trying to throw it back in P and it twitches. Too much power into the DCT and it can't handle much. I regret getting DCT now. But other than that it works fine here n there. I got the REMUS US SOUND NOW. and also for your piping I suggest a bov which comes with a forged pipe or just a forged pipe with forged diverter valves. BMW charged me nearly 500+ to FIND THIS PROBLEM and CANT. freaking stupid. I went home n yanked that area out and BAM. and im happy to help out my 335is brothers n sisters. I think we're the fastest 335is right now LOL!

R NP D !!!!! and then when i push it into park after it twitches. problem gone. My bud who's a 11 sec 335i told me himself DCT cannot handle the power if his mods were on my car. the thing is that I DONT KNOW IF ITLL BREAK. BUT I do know that its not the same as it was BRAND NEW AND STOCK. not 100% responsive and not 100% perfect anymore. its like 95-98% now. If you were to calculate by percentage. I don't nor do I have proof of this theory 100% BUT I know my car and I know how it sounds and feel and what it can do from 120-to max. Im boosting(TURBO PSI) around 16-17 now. WITHOUT A FMIC OR METH KIT. Straight bolt-ons with JB4 on autotune map 5. which autotunes to cold weather and mods and air flow and gas octane. I'll let cha know if anything else goes bad. HOPE THIS HELPS! |

JB4 which is a piggyback. I heard if I go with like a actual flash like Dinan or some other company, It would work with my car itself and know how to respond to it so I won't have this problem correct? you got your Tune yet bro? The reason why I went with JB4 because of its feature and easiness to install and for its price I picked up a used JB4 upgraded already for like 120 bucks with USB cable. free updates ofcourse and it autotuned to everything. I might go with Dinan or ESS flash. not sure tho. Thoughts?

There has been numerous reports/post by piggy back users on the 3335is that the LC is just useless. I have confirmed that running a flash tune benefits more from LC than a piggyback tune. The complaint by piggyback tune users is that they just spin out there is no wheel control. This did not happen with the Dinan flash tune I used. The car adjusted power for traction and when traction was stabalized it gave me my candy and sweet it was. First run I beat the 135 and then second run, he switched to map 5, I thought I couldn't get LC to work and was nervous from the first run as I saw a side of the car I never expected, so he busted me on the second. 3rd run, my mind is clear and got LC down pact. The dude dropped his hand and away we go. Both side by side when I shifted I would jump ahead each time till I pulled off from a dip in the road. If I had more room I would have pulled ahead of him The lighter car running 14.5 PSI, per his data log, with a person weighing about 130lb and the heavier car with a person (me) weighing 260. The 135 was totally at the advantage. The LC worked better with the flash tune dispite the odds I was against. So this brings to mind about the DCT issue about being over powered by the piggybacks. What is experienced on a piggyback with a 335is more than likely cannot apply as a reality in general as it will not affect the car with a flash tune. I would recommend going with Cobb AP if I you dont want to spend the money for Dinan. I have Dinan cause I like the convienience, the concept, peace of mind, and I dont have to worry about warranty rebounds. Last edited by BQTuning; 10-15-2011 at 11:07 PM.. |

LOL!!!! SCROLL UP!! I just posted about this problem haha. I clearly warned everyone that once you go past than normal psi on our car, its a risk to the charge pipe. since bmw had only about 8psi stock on the 335i, its build for just that. anymore than the pipe will either rip, pop off or crack. take apart your airbox and check your chargepipe. their made of plastic stock.

ALSO people get mixed up and call it hpfp light. that light means "lost of power" Look in the book. yellow one means temporary. RED means you better stop n shut that car off. |

When you cruise its fine right? when you throttle it past about 10-20% it hisses and your basically not going anywhere right? when you cruie you dont boost so your turbo doesnt work as much. once past 1200 rpm is when boost kicks in. ofcourse if you throttle under 10% then theres no boost lol. sounds simple? do it yourself because the dealership will f u in the ass with no lube trying to solve such a simple problem. you can do it yourself bro it ain hard. |

The 335is has an additional frame behind the M-Bumper that needs to be modified and then the FMIC fits right in perfectly as you can see above. A Dinan dealer, other than BMW, are the only ones that Dinan will alow to do this. Labor on this can range from $400-$700, you cannot do it yourself, Dinan will only cover you if their approved dealer does it. Since I had the first Stage 3 Boost upgrade that was made for my 335is more than likely you will get the same version I have. The Stage 3 will cost about $2200. I am getting about 360whp and 410wtq enough to take out a 135i w/ JB4 on Map 5 from the dig: It take about 100-200 miles for the DME to adapt to the new tune. Quote:
