Sorry for the OT question, race gas is not available NEAR the place I live, there's octane treatment/booster bottles, do they increase the octane fuel rating?

If they're still scaling boost like the JB3, that means boost targeting will fluctuate with changes in ambient temps.
The only reason I know this about the JB3, was Terry got technical on his board a year ago about what each "map" really was. No rocket science behind it actually.

no, you would be lucky to get 1 or 2 octane point out of that shit. There is one fuel addictive you can buy, however its 120 dollars for 6 pints of the stuff. I believe one pint is mixed with 10 gallons to give you roughly 104 octane. Its called Torco, google it.

yeah but with 94 octane and 1 or 2 + point more of octane would help a bit from knocking right?

I see, adding more bottles of octane booster/treatment will do anything?

no, it will make you faster though lol. Your wallet will be lighter and a lighter car is always a faster car. These octane boosters you see at walmart or autozone or whatever store, are all useless. Some claim magical things, but if you read the fine print in the back, the truth comes out.

Well of course there will be engine failures not related to a JB tune. I don't think anyone is disputing that.
