I finally have a working driver's cupholder again.

I'm running out of things to fix on my car.

My car hasn't driven since Feb. Sad. I need to replace one of the jack pads, and I bought the Vaico aftermarket online, so I said better get 5 lol

Cleaning up the basement, I found 2 BMW OE jack pads from years ago when I destroyed them on one side.

queue the Alanis...."Isn't it ironic, yes I really do think!"

Put in my catless downpipes and flashed 2+. Almost a little too much rasp but sounds about perfect with the muffler delete i already have. No extra drone either

That's more years of worry-free driving. That fix is cheaper than buying a car.

Been trying to diagnose a loose clunk I've had in what sounds like the front drivers side area. Very annoying. It's louder and more apparent now that I've went from 17s to 18s on my wheels.

I still can't figure it out. A lift sure would be nice

I've got one when going over continuous light bumps. Sounds like you have a whole metal piece just rattling down in the front. It's rather embarrassing since everyone walking around notices it.

I drove it up to a car show yesterday and got a CEL. I think one of the DISA valves is failing, I should have replaced them before I put the intake on.

Funny a friend mentioned to me you can actuate them with ISTA and I put it on my bros car without testing. Even on the car you should hear them quickly snap open and closed; but I checked this weekend and his small one is a bit slower than it should be.

That was my rationale, although I came close to just shopping it in for a newer model.

Does run great now though.

That's how mine is, continuous light bumps mostly. You can hear it when hitting potholes in parking lots or rain drainage dips as well

I recommend doing end links if you haven't, they're cheap and like to clunk over low speed bumps when failed. Just did mine this last weekend and noises are gone.

Both sides had torn boots and were loose in their joints.

Turns out whilst you can't do this from the wheel, you can make a shortcut using the numerical buttons. I discovered this last night after a year of ownership. Created a shortcut to switch between day mode and night mode for the map.

Yes. The ones numbered one to eight. Select the option you want on the idrive, then press and hold a numerical button until it beeps. Much like how you'd set a radio preset.

Yea saw his post and got interested! Never heard of it before. Apparently you use the knob to navigate to which function you want the shortcut of, don't select it, but hold down which number you want to map it to. Holding 1 and 8 simultaneously clears all shortcuts.

I'll see about those end links. My issue is my car is on coil overs so I would ideally have to get adjustable end links for xdrive. Which ones do you have?
