I can only imagine it's more jammed up in a 1er...after doing my dps twice, once after swearing I'll never do it again, I've learned my lesson. Though I will probably figure out how hard/easy it is to put headers on an S54 this year.

IB4 I swear never put S54 headers on again, and then do it again

With a single turbo it may be a little easier but it's really amazing how fucking jammed in the shit was on the E9x chassis...can't imagine on the E82...and anyone here will you I'm used to jamming things in small places

I guess for the dp install you have to take out a motor mount and move the steering rack and what not. It would probably just be easier to pay someone to do it, especially if you don't have access to a lift. I haven't been under the car myself, looked easy in the pics I've seen but apparently it's not.

For the 335 it was just move the steering rack. I also took my sway bar off though people do it with it on...it bought me space and only takes like 20min to take off. Any space you can gain is worth it...at most I could fit one hand up there. Not sure on N55 but the N54 clamp on the turbo flange has clearance so tight between the block it's literally like 1-2 hours of trial and error getting it on off. X2 for the two pipes. That's really the hardest/most frustrating part. The rest is just grunt work and not mixing up the O2 sensors and putting stuff together in order (like connect rear o2 sensors before you bolt to the exhaust), and really isn't that bad. It's just the having no space, limited light, and tight clearances that make it a bitch. I'd estimate I spent 8-12 hours each time I did it, with the luxury of a lift
