Yes, the shell snaps in place and there is no need to glue it.

I have two keys for my E92, however one of them I presume was not used at all since the battery was dead despite doing 4hr+ long journeys. This is the key fob which had the battery replaced. My main fob does not lock the car but I can unlock the doors and the boot fine, from my research it appears to be a symptom of a low battery. I am aware that the fob is supposed to charge during driving however despite doing several long journeys in the past weeks the problem has not gone away.

Installed a new pair of trunk struts in my E90 today. Bought them for about $38 off of AMZN.

Didn't realize that I needed them and how easy the install was until I saw a couple of YouTube videos on the topic.

The hood struts aren't as bad as the trunk struts were but they are due for replacement too which will be even easier to handle now that I have experience doing the trunk.

I really need to do mine. I feel like I'm at the gym every time I try to open my trunk.

I picked up my E91 about 3 weeks ago, so I gave it a quick detail.

It's got 62,000 km and has had oil leaks fixed by the previous owner. It's got a couple scratches around the car but for its age, it's in pretty decent condition.

A friend is letting me borrow his old subs (dual 10") so I've been working on installing them. Logic 7 doesn't have very good deep bass so we'll see how well they help

Classic. Grab yourself a new regulator, a backup fuel pump in case the fuel pump nipple breaks off, some PB Blaster, a breaker bar, and a fuel tank ring removal tool. You'll be able to knock it out on about 2 hours or less taking your time.

Fixed my rear wiper motor today :-) Fuse good, relay good (swapped with front wipers to check), motor getting power. So I removed it and took off the black plastic rear. No rust but a bit mucky.

Cleaned the motor's commutator with wet and dry paper, cleaned the brushes and position contacts. Also bent them a tiny bent to increase contact pressure. Fired up perfectly. Well chuffed.

After new Index 12 install, car is still experiencing rough cold starts and misfires on 5 and 6. Time to swap coils and plugs around again to rule them out again.

Swapped coils and plugs a few weeks ago and misfires didn't move so not expecting anything to change.

Back to the drawing board. Sigh

You want to be careful of water ingestion with those scoops. Any kind of standing water could really get forced in. First thing I do with any car is drill a few 12mm holes in the base of the airbox to let water out. It saved me once in a storm when I hit a flood at night.

I recently cleaned my kn drop in in the 328 and saw the airbox already has from the factory a couple 1-2mm diameter holes at the bottom to drain water out

Replaced Inner & Outer Traiking Arm Bushing, Wheel Carrier Ball Joint, and Lower Control Arm Bushings in the rear with Whiteline products. Absolute pig of a job, but well worth it already. Alignment and new tires to follow. Can’t wait.

You painted the little mustaches body color? If I had a pre lci e90 that'd be the first thing I'd do it makes the car look more aggressive too
