28" high outdoor burner. Bending over that lower one in the dinner thread, with a headlight on, I was worried I was going to cook my headlight.

Side-mount toilet flush. I bought 3 of them yesterday that were "adjustable" and none would line up to actually lift the flapper.

We were at a speakeasy Saturday night and they had these LED bottle-top lights. Ordered a pair, to see if the wife will use those instead of trying to get me to drill holes in fancy glass bottles she has been having me drink so she can collect them. I figure with the LEDs that just sit on the top, she can fill the bottles with sand/rocks/whatever.

Hot water circulating pump. Installed today. Hot water at any sink in seconds. I already have it hooked to a smart plug, so it'll turn on at certain times of the day and then turn off when no longer needed. Plus I can set up a couple of mini-switches at the sinks to turn it on/off as needed.

I have the same. It works as well as any $1k unit. Take many readings in the same spot, throw out the high readings, and average 3-4.

We have ours on a smart switch as well, and use Alexa to turn it on/off on command, and HA to turn it on automatically when either the house transitions to "morning" mode, or I cancel my alarm. Works a treat.

I’ve said I’d do one of these for awhile and haven’t. That’s a great idea to automate it also! Will have to look into this.

It had good reviews, that's why I bought it, and so far, I'm happy with it.
I tested it on a couple of cars, and the paint readings consistency is pretty good.
I figured for the number of times I'm going to be using it, I don't need anything expensive or 100% accurate.

So I have some packages coming from Amazon...delayed as usual. My wife asked Alexa when our packages would arrive, it said today. I then asked if Alexa lies to us and she responded with "I can not lie". So then I asked if Amazon lies to us but it wouldn't respond to the question no matter how it was phrased. The silly little joke now makes me raise an eyebrow. lol

So I know we all enjoy posting up mostly positive and happy times, people, places and things. Which is awesome. We certainly need as much of that as we can get! But without Health there is no Wealth!
As we age, we must make a conscious effort to stay healthy and this includes monitoring our vitals. Especially, BloodPressure ❤️ That being said, I recently replaced my trusty Omron once had for a good decade, with this unit. I had been researching them online and grabbed this one from Amazon of course. 😁 Highly reviewed and after trying it out, and comparing it to my Omron, I'm very impressed! It's also priced well. I also am sharing my own reading from today. 🙂 Wishing you all good health!

No smartphone interface? Mine dumps into my Apple Health app, so I have a complete log.

My DW was complaining this morning that her non-smart BP machine was reading high. I had her test it on my arm. 82/68, with a perfect (computer-driven heart) 70 BPM pulse reading. Nothing wrong with her machine.....

I had considered getting one with smart connections but I was like, as long as it's very accurate and reliable, that's one less app to download. It stores readings for future reference.
I do have the Kardia, pocket, 3 point EKG with mobile app. That device is ingenious.

Thanks. Not bad for a 53yr old. I monitor it weekly. Between it, my portable EKG and finger O2 sat reader, it provides some very valuable health information that is super convenient.

Indeed! 60 years old here. My numbers had a bit higher but I started taking magnesium supplements and my BP came back down to this range and has been steady despite my cigar habit!

Ours is set to run 6AM-8AM and 4PM-10PM. Plus I just installed a remote button at each sink to turn it on or off.

I was surprised at how much nicotine is absorbed in the mouth from cigars!
I actually became made aware of this from my Pulmonolgist and then felt it much more as I got older.
