That intake is awesome. I just wish they made a lower cost plastic version.

It seems like the Dinan box uses the stock shroud in addition to the CF CAI? The top photo shows the stock connector I think :

Anyway, looks mint Socks

Edit: OOPS my notifications are slow... Didn't see the other reply hha

Correct. The majority of the air still comes in through the stock route. Dinan add a secondary intake pipe good for another 50-70% more flow.

Cant remember off the top of my head but I think it was around 270 or so shipped. We got shipping split between 3 people. Does not include the price of the microfilter elements which is another $80 off ebay. But we got every last part, RHD specific, down to every last screw brand new, so I think it was a decent deal. My M3 cowl was missing some parts so it will be good to complete the full set of stuff.

Well, decent deal if they ever ship it!

Yeah sorry mate, ordered it weeks ago and was already very close to $1k AUD customs threshold. Will let you know if I end up doing another big Schmeidmann order though.

Looks great, and you certainly dont muck around!!

I've had mine sitting in my parts storage cache awaiting fitment for hmm 6-8 months but was holding off until i do the inlets but not am holding off inlets until i do a clutch as when you drop the gearbox it makes it a lot easier to access to do the rear pipe

Is the dinan much quieter than the DCI?

If you have a 1 series it requires more work in order to get it to fit. The washer nozzle contacts the cowl and the cable to the pollen filter is a bit too short.

I had to cut my cowl, put in an L shaped piece of plastic, use body filler and paint the thing. Took ages:

Apparently you can retrofit washers nozzles from a BMW R56 MINI but not sure of the part number. Requires you to cut off the plug of the stock washers and wire to the different R56 nozzles

No need to wait mate, can easily be taken off to do the inlets when you are ready

A bit quieter, to be expected, maybe 10-20% less noise
