Fu**ed up the bumper even more trying to get into the driveway of the new house I'm renting. The previous (3 month temporary) house was even worse, usually 10-15 mins to get out the 1 1/2 meter slope. I was out & in putting bricks under the wheels, moving a bit, then out & in again moving the bricks around, eventually it split.
The joys of having a lowered car in Bangkok. Last edited by Tat2; 09-13-2014 at 08:42 PM.. |

Well. it finally went and did it, my water pump shit the bed. Just shy of 117K miles and on the way to drop my boy off at school, the dreaded warning lamp came on, but things couldn't have gone any smoother considering the circumstances. That said, this should be the final and biggest mechanical gremlin I'll have to deal with for a while, so now I should be able to focus on the exterior stuff. Man it hurt, but I'm glad it's over now. Ungh.

Installed the Depo smoked fender side marker/turn signal lights and matte black hood trim & kidney grills that I got from eBay on my Black Sapphire E90 today.

Do those bulbs illuminate amber? I just installed some smoked side markers also, I'm not liking the fitment, (weisslicht brand)

Couldn't figure out how to release the bulb holder from the OEM marker. Had to look up some YouTube videos to find out. Turns out the bulb holder twists off but you have to lift this little plastic flange out of a groove to turn it. Only problem was that it's impossible (or at least it was for me) to lift and turn the flange w/o breaking it. Not a big deal though because the bulb holder is held in place when you twist it. Broke the one on the passenger side, but discovered that the one on the driver's side was already broken. LOL!!! The markers I got are supposedly made by Depo. I didn't see any lettering to that effect (on the box or the markers) but the fitment was fine on the ones I got. Popped in and lined up just like OEM.

Yea I know what you mean about that little plastic keeper, cool I might check these out, BTW what's up with the silver coating, is that to keep the smoke look when there not lit up?
The ones I picked up have a slight gap and does not sit flush to fender like the stocks, kinda bugging me

The silver coated bulbs look "silver" when off but turn amber when on. The OEM bulbs are always amber -- off or on.

Had some General G-Max AS-03's installed to replace my worn out Falken 452's. I haven't really driven on them yet, but truth, I'm not too keen on the way it looks. Likely I'm just used to my old Falkens, but I hope these General's work out ok.
