I selected the following mosaic tiles for our large kitchen Island. Work was completed this past weekend. It came out fantastic!

aka screening/barrier from the weeds in the empty, adjacent lot.
aka carbon offsetting the new-to-me 3.8L in the garage.

Might have that as the backsplash in our kitchen. Almost as tall, too!

50% windshield? I don't think that is legal here in AZ. IN fact I don't think ANY tint on the windshield is legal here. But I'm no lawyer so could be wrong.

Nice! Any idea what the existing rear tint was? I’m assuming it + the 80% matches your 20% up front. We were just having that conversation yesterday for ours. Looks great.

So the general rule of thumb here in TX is WINDSHIELD:
You are legally allowed to tint a full front windshield to a light transmittance of 70% or more. It’s almost clear ceramic window film that will block 99% harmful UV rays, 76%+ InfraRed heat rejection and 43% TSER(Total Solar Energy Rejected).
Sun strip(eyebrow) is allowed to be installed above the AS-1 line or 5 inches below the top of the windshield and must allow 25% VLT or more.

This 50% ceramic is as light or dark as typical 70% regular film.

I have ran 20% on front windows on many of my cars with no issue.
I never go darker than that, even though we can go limo on rear and back glass.

Thanks! Great questions. As you know, Rear SUV glass are smoked glass from the factory. Typically 20%, but has no UV protection. So I added 80% which makes it slightly darker but the UV protection all around helps tremendously.
But yes, the match is much nicer using 20% up front.
I'd also say 80% on the windshield is nearly clear but the UV protection will make a huge difference in heat shielding. Especially when driving.

Home Depot. We were going to put it in the garage, but it would have entailed *a lot* of plumbing. There is already hot/cold water and a drain in the utility room, so...

We also bought this to go alongside the new sink and to use for shuffling books around the basement. I may grab another one of these for the garage. The height adjustment is smooth as silk and could come in very handy.

Totally understand that!! FIL is a plumber, so he did it. Wasn’t going to argue with the man!

And ya, if you’ve got it that close, no need for another.

How do you like the Ryobi power socket wrench? I have been eying at getting one for awhile. Is it the 3/8 or the 1/2?

Thank you!

It's a time saver, for sure. The one I bought does 1/2, 3/8, and 1/4.

Home Depot has a special running where you get a free tool if you buy their $99 battery pack, which gets you two batteries and a charger. So that battery pack and a power ratchet for $99. But it's not the same ratchet I got because it's 3/8" only. If you're ok with a 3/8" drive, it might be worth it.

Not a bad deal to be honest. I will look into it. Probably safe to assume it's a Memorial Day weekend sale.

Probably so. Home Depot often has these types of sales, but this one most likely ends a week from today.
