Like I said before...it all depends on where you want to live. Keep in mind work, school, family, friends and how much you'd have to drive.

What is your time worth (may spend a lot of it in the car) and gas is not going to get any cheaper.

Daybreak is waaaay out there and unless you work close, you'd probably spend a lot of time and money on travel.

Yay! It is a pretty cool setup. I even used my HDC last night to get down the 3rd Avenue sheet of ice!
Not going downtown, too small for too much. But thanks anyway. and Yes isnt HDC cool!?

Like anything, realtors are a personal preference. Just because you talk to one, doesn't mean you can't change. Like an interview process. Always remember...they're working for you, not the other way around.

What's your timeline look like Parker?
Were going to start looking just before the wedding, which we are planning on for the end of March.

Watch out for screwy loans, too. Not sure how much is going on now(with the industry in the pooper), but when we were getting approved...we were offered all sorts of interest only, ARM, etc. loans. I'd stay away. Get yourself a nice 30 year fixed loan...even if you have to drop your budget some...
Yea, we have quite a few family members that work for banks and credit unions, so I know that they will make sure I dont get screwed. And the even better news is that Silvana already got approved on her own so adding me makes it all that much better.

Daybreak is WAY too far away. Not worth it IMO. My sister lived out there and traffic is horrendous, and I dont ever want to live that far away from work.

I want to be somewhat close to work, school, family... blah blah blah. So thanks for the tips!

Thanks Cody. I've spent far too much money and bought many things off gearscan in the past 2 days. :shifty

However, Christmas shopping is getting very close to complete.

That tree is pretty crazy Pat! Wow.

Hey, all of you rich folk... So the date were planning on is hopefully March 27th. I was wondering if anybody had tips for the Honeymoon? I have been thinking Miami since the flight is cheaper, and I want to go somewhere warm. Only thing I cant figure out is where we should stay, and we dont really have all that much money
Any tips? Ive been searching on expedia, but dont really know how to find a good place.

best advice i can give for honeymoon is if you don't have tons of money for a good one up front, don't sweat it. you can always save for a real nice one later on, it's still as meaningful. we took a mini one to hilton head and then a real one later. still had a blast. just go to a beach somewhere and chill. don't need to spend tons of money to have it mean something.

Hello everyone :wave.

Jason...E60 M5. I know I'm the dissenting opinion...but I love that car and I think it's the best bang for the buck right now in the BMW world.

Find a nice one. Don't look back.

Then again, I drive a 10 year old car(well, I don't 'drive' it so much right now)...new technology doesn't do it for me.
I'm leaning e60. Have to see the 550 up close personal.

We went to Jamaica for our honeymoon. Sandals resort Ocho Rios. It was meh.

Head to someplace in Cali for a weekend getaway...can find cheap flights and hotel rooms.

Why do you have to spend a ton of money to honeymoon after you get married? Hell Parker, you have 4 years to travel and have a good time together, save your money for more trips down the road.

I'm not usually the expert in budget travel, but I'd add a +1 to the advice given so far. Miami isn't the cheapest city out there, but it is nice in March. SoCal is cheaper and closer, definitely more bang for the buck.

Also, yay for XI and booo for drivers who don't understand snow.

Another vote for SoCal here.

La Jolla, SBA, Monterey, so many great destinations.

Visiting the Peoples' Republic of California is great.

Guess this rhetorical question was for the world in general. I think many small trips as a couple are awesome. There's so much to see in this world and it doesn't have to be expensive.

Couple of Jo and I's best trips were to Moab, Bryce, Zion during the off seasons. Great in the snow (Moab in the spring). Relaxing, inexpensive, and local.

(of course we have also traveled overseas, mexico, and to the far reaches of the US )
