Finally got me leather wrapped handles back from the upholstery shop.
Since day one it bothered me how the E90 got plastic handles regardless of leather interior when the E92 and M3 receive leather handles.

I think it really makes the whole interior look mor ehigh-end.
I also have some spare leather available if anyone else is interested in doing this.

Dude that looks much better. I have a full e90 beige interior at home and the first thing I noticed was the sticky plastic handles which I have no idea how anyone could live with on a daily basis. Glad my e92 came with leather on them.

thanks! yea my handle was getting soft and melty as well. I wrapped it in matte 3M black vinyl which is a perfect match for the soft touch materials.

I prefer that to removing the door card to replace the handle that will get worn away again.

cut.
Dry CV joint was my elusive part throttle noise. It's probably been cut since installation.

New boot is here and I'll just do it myself.
This is why I don't pay people to work on my shit. Not that I can't afford it, just that I'm consistently disappointed.
Ordered enough axle nuts to just replace them all as well.

they're starting to rust.
Are those stains normal?
If you're referring to the inner fender there, mine was also like that
Ahh i hav the same on mine so i was wondering

In Bmw speak, it’s called ‘cosmoline’. Rust inhibitor they’ve been using for decades.

Installed some new Bilstein B8s in the front - makes a world of a difference, even with the B4 sports on the rear from the PO. Using the OEM M-Sport springs, BTW.
Now I’ll just need to get it aligned - seems a little weird in the front.

$300 for upholstery for 3 pieces plus the material. the leather they had was too thick so I had to order BMW Dakota leather and had to get a half roll so the material ended up being expensive.

Coded:

Halos as DRLS
Digital Speedo
Roof/window close on keyfob (could open but not close)

Need to add the option for Auto lights sensitivity too (want the DRLS on till the last second) but my battery isn`t happy so going to leave it on charge and do it tomorrow. Alpina gearbox flash too after I change the fluids and Mech selves.

Hello, I'm new here (not to BMs but these forums) and thus can't make a new posting myself and have to reply per forum rules. I changed my spark plugs yesterday on my E92 328 with the N51. The old plugs were definitely expired and were Bosch double platinums (I suspect original). I got the car a couple weeks ago and I do new plugs on all my new cars. I went with NGK Iridiums and I completed the process successfully and started up the car with 0 issues. It definitely starts quicker and runs smoother and being excited I took it for a nice ride. About 20 minutes into the ride I was coming to a stop light and noticed a blip. It felt like a rough shift from the trans as the whole car shook. It happened a couple more times in that moment but went away under throttle. Today I was sitting in a drive through line and it came back and happens maybe 1-3 times a minute, but then sometimes not at all. I put it in neutral to confirm it wasn't a trans issue, and sure enough it happened in neutral, so NO trans issues. It is very random. I have done spark plugs too many times to remember and I know I didn't mess it up. It has nothing to do with gap as they are pregapped. My fuel economy seems worse but that also may just be in my head. I suspect it is a coil cutting out for a brief fraction of a second and then jumping back. It feels pretty ugly sitting in the car and it is not something I want to ignore. Any suggestions would save me a great deal of stress! Thank you!
