18x9 profile2 31 offset with 225/40R18 Michelin PSS
18x9.5 profile3 22 offset with 265/35R18 Michelin PSS

Sits on ST coilover, the fronts are fine, the rear I couldn't go lower even after some minor DIY rolling, should use 255 instead

I like this set up but I'm more of the flush/poke, wider wheel, lower offset, tire stretch a bit type of guy.
Are you planning to lower your car?
Improved gas mileage?
What suspension?
Wheel/tire specs?
I really want to do 17's.

The car is lowered on TC Kline S/A. I bought one of the first he made for the xi. The first revision front struts do not go any lower unfortunately. The newer revision addresses this. Sorry, but you will never see any notable fuel mileage improvements by changing just your wheels/tires alone. Yes, I have lost nearly 40lbs of rotating mass, but there are too many other significant variables (namely drag).

I currently have 245/40R17 Dunlop Direzza ZII tires on them. Very, very good tires. Although I've nearly used them up already.

At the end of the day, 17's are the smallest you can fit over factory 335i brake rotors, and that is how it should be IMO. Buy them, you'll love 'em.

Can you explain to me why you guys removed the foam that suppose to be between the hood and engine?

After 2008 or 2009 BMW stopped putting them in from the factory. But some people remove it to "hear" more engine sound.

Oh thanks, i think its LCi cause mines a 08 and has it. Whats the purpose of that? Isnt it suppose to help the heat from the engine protect the paint?

I think in case of fires. The tabs would melt and the pad would lay on top. Nothing to do with paint though.

Why aren't more people running a square set up? Lots of staggered sets.


I'd like to run ARC8s 18x9.5 front and rear. Anyone? What limitations do we run in to with the front strut for clearance?
