Curt did a great job walnut blasting my car today. He was very professional, friendly, and let me watch and hang out during the whole process. Curt is very knowledgeable and helped me diagnose and fix another issue as well while I was there. His garage setup is great and I highly recommend him

Review

Brought my car to Curtis for walnut blasting. Curt is a very cool guy with world of knowledge, and gave me great info and recommendations on how I should maintain and what possible mods and parts I should do to my car. He was very professional and worked great to fit me in with my busy scheduled. Once he finished the walnut blasting it was like a had a completely different car. More power and better fuel economy. Curt is very friendly, and his prices are great. I would recommend anyone with a n54 to Curt. I'm happy that I found Curt and I can't wait to have him do more work for me in the future.

I had my intakes walnut blasted (carbon cleaned) yesterday at Curt's garage. I drove from the west side of the state (Kalamazoo) and back all in the same day. All I can say is: Wow! Curt is highly knowledgeable about BMW's, and more specifically, N54 engines. I drove home right after having the service completed and had no CEL or rough engine idling. If anything, my idle improved, my MPG improved, and my engine felt like it could finally breathe! I drove 200 miles back home and plan on returning for more services in the future. Curt is more than reasonable on pricing and even quoted me at half of what my current independent mechanic (Indy) quoted for other services.

All in all, Curt is now my "Indy" and I will not be returning to my previous indy shops. If anyone has any questions, let me know.

I went to see Curtis a couple weeks ago and I am very happy with his Service.

Curtis did a walnut blast, and plugs on my N55. He has the right tools and the know-how. I would highly recommend him for anything BMW related you might need!

This thread needs a well-deserved BUMP!

After looking for someone near me who did the walnut shell blast for BMWs who didn't charge $1,000+ like the dealer does, I ran across this thread and found Curtis.

Boy am I glad about that!

Curtis responded to my pm quickly and before I knew it we were chatting on the phone about the car and all the things I needed done and also wanted to do in the future.

Let me tell you, he knows this platform inside and out! He's an easy going guy who's great to talk to.

So I had Curtis work on my car 2 weeks ago and he did quite a bit of work on it.

Walnut shell blast, battery replacement and coding, oil level sensor replacement, diagnosing some idling troubles (turned out to be a leaky injector), head gasket/oil filter housing/and several other gaskets all were leaking oil so they needing replacing as well.

There were some other gremlins that popped up mid-way thru the repairs and Curtis was super quick to share pics and information about what he uncovered.

He gets parts super quick if he doesn't already have them on hand so my car was in and out in a very respectable time frame.

The best part was that he literally saved me THOUSANDS of dollars! I'm not kidding when I say that he saved me somewhere around 75% over dealer costs!

There's no doubt I'm taking my car right back to him to get the rest of my work done along with any future projects I have planned.

So if you haven't already considered having you car worked on by Curtis, what are you waiting for?! Shoot him a message, you won't regret it!

Super big thanks Curtis!

Another enthusiastic bump for Curtis and this thread...

Had a 2nd round of repairs done just last week and my car is better than its ever been.

Curtis, as per usual, provides updates and pics as the work progresses and he helps guide you in what you should do and what parts to choose if you're unsure and need help meeting certain goals with your project.

He's used only top quality parts and his customer service is great.

I'll be back for round three of upgrades in the very near future, no question about it.

Curtis came highly recommended so, I made the drive from Fort Wayne Indiana and was not disappointed. The blast was well overdue and Curtis's knowledge and passion of the BMW cars is very apparent. Highly recommend for not just your walnut blast but, any maintenance/ service you need. Thank you Curtis!
