I really can't praise this car enough for its all round ability. The Scoob was a 10/10ths car, but having followed 3 STI's and an Elise over to a weeks driving to the Stelvio pass at the end of May on a club visit, the D did not embarrass itself in the slightest.

I'm probably the last person who would have been shouting from the rooftops how good a performance D can be..

I look forward to reading through the site and gleaning some great information

Welcome Al, I'd be very interested in your opinion of the 335 compared to the Scooby.

Found a BMW LED torch on ebay today for £4 including postage - can't say fairer than that.....

Also spotted a BMW snap in phone cradle for my Motorola V3 and managed to win that too.

PM sent

Booforty - You have no idea of the grief I've suffered switching the badge .

The 'dark side' in Scooby terms is getting a Mitsi Evo... now that would be sacrilege ...

Another lurker emerges....

Hi all,

Been lurking around for many months and finally decided to register. At the moment I have a 320d e92 which is OK after having many different types of cars in the past, always having a passion for more performance orientated cars (so why did I get a 320d I hear you ask!!! - at the time it seemed like the right thing to do......).
Had RS Turbo's, Cosworths etc (all modified) which I used to concourse (had many features in performance ford, fast ford etc) and then went onto track days using a Westfield Megabusa which was amazing, even on the road. Got bored with the Megabusa and decided to have a 'sensible' car for once and given that I'd never be able to get anywhere near the performance of the Westy I went the complete 'other way' and bought a four pot diesel.

Cheers.

Mark.

On order.....

Hi everyone,
changing co-car sooner than expected, and managed to get an order on for 320d Editions SE before the offer closes end of June.
Really looking forward to getting the car, due end July/early August.
Migrating from Audi A3 TDi.

BMW fan joins the E91 club!

Hello all, just swapped my 120d MSport for a 325d MSport - worlds apart but surprisingly affordable, thanks to the current scope for negotiation on nearly new and some help from gIzzE on the finance side! Really pleased with the 325d generally and the 3 litre engine particularly given the scope for a quick remap at some point...

I'll try not to ask too many stupid questions! Cheers, Pitva

Finally take delivery next week.

330i coupe m sport, le mans blue, beige cream dakota, usb, sun protection glass. Company car so no real oppourtunities to mod and didn't want to over do options.

I'm a kid again waiting for Father Christmas to come visit! Will post some pics when she arrives.

Evenin` all.

I`ve now had my newly acquired (but previously used) E92 330d SE Steptronic for a week, and suffice it to say...............what a car !

It`s a Montego Blue, with cream/beige Dakota leather, and as far as spec goes, is pretty "basic" (but are BMW`s ever really basic ?)

Anyway, as I said, the car is used (2007 model), so I didn`t get to spec it myself, but for the deal I got, I`m MORE than pleased.

It currently has the OEM 17`alloys on (which don`t do much for it, IMHO), so I duly have some OEM CSL`s on order for it, and I can`t wait for them to arrive. Once they`re fitted, I`ll get some pics up.

For what it`s worth, although I`ve been browsing various car forums for years now, I had no idea about wheel offsets until I started to browse this excellent and informative forum, so I`d like to thank those with "the knowledge" for a kick off...................so cheers !!

Greetings all - new member/short term lurker here.

Had my 335i M Sport Touring for a month or so now (Black, 56 plate for those that are interested) and have to say I'm loving it. Switched from an RS6 to the BM. BM is by far a better drive (RS6 engine is an awesome thing but you just felt a bit too detached from the driving experience - that and the fact that it has suspension made from chocolate with a fondant filling. Seriously, whole lot replaced three times in 18 months due to failures ....).

Anyway - am planning a copuple of mods as and when finances allow and will be purely focused on performance rather than looks. Will be needing tyres before too long and have been reading the run flat vs Non run flat stuff with interest - still undecided though!

Have found the forum an interesting mix of useful info / amusing reads / questionable threads so far so thanks, thanks and wtf?!!

Thumbs up

Hi Guys thought I'd say "Hi".

I've posted a couple of times on the Factured Alloys thread, but thought I'd introduce myself.

Just bought a '56 Plate 335d Coupe.

Spec:

Black Sapphire
Light Grey Dakota
Bluetooth phone prep + telematics
CD changer
DAB digital radio
Exterior trim. high-gloss Shadowline
Navigation-system Professional
Seat heating. front
Star Spoke Style 230 8/9Jx19
Voice Control
High Beam Assist
Elec Fold Exterior Mirrors
Headlining. Anthracite
Prof. Hi-Fi loudspeaker system
Sun protection glass (Tints)

I searched the country for this car and I have to say I'm very impressed with it all round.

Cheers
