Latest update on the problem:

Quote:
there is an official new code in 4.23 from BMW to show voltage over ENET. However it seems to only work for G+ series.

Quote:
everything works with Enet cable and the latest Ista standallone version, with the new version of Ista you get a popup if you dont use the patch

All I can say, is maybe give this a try and see if it works.

Thanks, I'll give it a go! Out of curiosity, where are you getting this from?

Gotcha. The patched ISTA gets rid of the annoying voltage complaint, but still can't run the adjustment. Swapped in the original szl and it runs fine, so it's not ISTA's fault. Either I need to fully flash and not just VO code the szl, or the steering wheel angle sensor on the replacement unit is bad.

You or anyone have a copy of Perfekt toolbox? I'm setting up a new laptop and I can't find the download. Only download I've found is on a nazi site that requires you to kiss someone's butt, then register and post a bunch of times. Not sure where I found it the first time

I have a copy of it on my computer at home, I'm at work right now but could send it if I remember. I got mine from n54exlusive.com for the install of their gauge faces

Yes, its in the TOOLS folder

BMW Diagnostics > Software > TOOLS

or you install my BMW Tools updater, it will do it for you.
You can find it in my J0k3r5 Software folder

I'm looking for the map upgrade for Japan, CIC.
Is it possible to add it to this great collection?

By the way, I can contribute a QNX image, to be able to read QNX filesystems from the navi (eg: hd to ssd mod, backups, etc).

Did you know you can alter your EGR on certain models ?

You need ISTA<= 4.05.x, so Ive added 4.01.21 + 4.04.12 to the download folder.

EGR valve / Open or close: We read ...
Version 4.04: Vehicle Management, Service Features, Drive, DDE, Comparison Programs, Exhaust Gas Recirculation, Select: ABL Exhaust Gas Recirculation Compensation

0.0 = Factory value
0.1 = Egr closed 10%
0.2 = Egr closed 20%
0.3 = Egr closed 30%
0.4 = Egr closed 40%
0.5 = Egr closed 50%
0.6 = Egr closed 60%
0.7 = Egr closed 70%
0.8 = Egr closed 80%
0.9 = Egr closed 90%
1.0 = Egr closed 100%

J0K3R5 What's the nature of what the update tool does? Is that something that just batches process and checks files once, or would you be installing a program that stays resident on your computer that's monitoring ala Intel Driver Support Assistant or Windows Updater?

Though cause the size of it, I can only host for a little while.
So grab it while you can.
