Hi everybody,
I have the same problem on my E91 320d...cold engine (M47) - over 270.000 km. I had the thermostat fault error code. After replacing both thermostats, yes I have the EGR thermostat, the error was gone but the cold engine remains. When outside was 0° C the engine was around 55C, and yesterday with 13C, after the thermostats replacement, it was around 70C. So there is a minor improvement from the faulty thermostat: indeed the mechanic said that the thermostat wasn't really bad. Other fault error codes still present: 46d1 the auxiliary water pump and 4212,4222, 4232, 4242, one for each glow plug, despite 2 were replaced less than a year ago, so I think there is a problem with the glow plug controller. I am not sure that the remaining error codes are connected to the cold engine problem. Any advice? |
