There's damping on the throttle plate movements. This table discovery allows us to adjust that damping rate.

On the 1M, if you press the accelerator pedal down to 50% and your torque request tables say that equates to 60% throttle then the throttle will move to 60% as quickly as possible. On every other car the throttle will slowly move to the required position based on what values are entered into these tables.

Give that a try and see how it feels.
Awesome, I'll give it a try this weekend!

My 335i has exactly a 19% reduction in correction from d to ds/m modes.
Found it interesting that the 535i had about the same trend but the ds mode had only a 10% reduction, must be the luxury feature...

Thinking of keeping the basic corr vehicle speed the same and reducing above tables...Any inputs?

I don't see how to copy/paste these throttle correction tables into my custom bin using TunerPro????

If I flash the throttle correction bin on it's own, will it leave my custom bin tables intact?

Yes, you can open the bin and edit using the XDF in this topic and it won't change any of the existing mods.

I have a 2011 335iS 6MT, FBO + inlets. MHD + JB4 BEF. Can I post the BEF bin file and you change the throttle values and then I would flash that BEF ?

Thank-you!

Do you mean I open my existing custom bin or a new bin just for the throttle correction tables?

Of course your custom BIN that contains your tune

The XDF is just a file that looks after the tables in that bin. The others are simply hidden as that XDF does not know them.

Just imagine its part 2 of your other XDF. View on/off. Nothing else.

Ahhhhh....got it!

So two different xdf's on the one bin file - each showing different tables.

Any codes since then? Did you leave the basic correction vehicle speed table stock as well?

Nope nada! Tried both stock and also reducing basic correction vehicle speed table 10% and zeroing out the throttle filter from 3000rpm up.

Does anyone in the know have insight on whether this will make it into MHD's OTS maps? Me want.

Can this be implemented with a Cobb OTS map? I have the Access Tuner Pro software to edit Cobb maps.

Unfortunately no. Cobb's maps are in a proprietary file format, would need them to update ATP on their end which IIRC they're unwilling to do.

Your best bet is to sell the Cobb and switch to MHD, it really is worth it.

Hi everyone, I’ve been following this thread for a while now and am very interested in doing this for my 335is DCT. I’ve only had the car for about a year and have always thought there was some software logic that was inhibiting the timing of the throttle opening.

At first I thought I was “still getting used to the car” as all my previous cars were manual transmission. It drove me crazy when I would step on the throttle mid-corner, and not know exactly when/how the power was going to come on. I got the BMS pedal tuner thinking it would fix things (it seemed to help a little bit, also with DTC on & sport mode) but from what I understand, it scales pedal input to engine load request, which I guess does not affect the delay of the initial throttle opening.

Anyways, I am not a coding expert, nor do I have any experience with flashing/modifying custom maps with Tuner pro. I’ve always had Cobb AP in the past and had a protune done by a professional tuner. I am probably going to get MHD soon. Can anyone babystep me to how I go about modifying an OTS stage 1 map? I don’t have any mods on the car, but I would like to run stage 1 with the throttle corrections for 335is DCT.. Or am I better off waiting for MHD to incorporate this or just let a tuner do everything for me? FWIW I think my ROM is ILA0S_IS. Thanks in advance!

MHD Shelf maps are locked for modification afaik. Unless they aren't, or just to the VIN, I'm pretty sure that's not the case, however.

Hey guys,
I have the open bins provided by BMS. The mhd backend flashes. I know how to use tuner pro. I want to use it to make the bins a full custom file. I already have a custom tune that is locked.

My tuner won't be doing anything with the new tables until it's tested and proven.

So, I want to learn how to do this myself to use the new feature. Can someone help me with setting up the boost tables in tuner pro or make the bins a standalone flash. I'm sure I could figure out the rest. I could even donate for a tutorial.
