Wouldn't you know if it's ready if your check engine lights go away if you're using the dp fix?

No

Check engine only comes on when the system test FAILS. If its "not ready", no CEL will kick pn, but it will not pass smog.

Sorry to rehash an old thread...After flashing back to Map 0 on MHD how many miles do I have to drive before the catalyst check will reset to ready...mine still says incomplete.

Any suggestions for STAR smog check locations in OC or IE area? (zip code requires STAR )

Did you leave the tune or did you tune to stock setting?

How many miles did you run stock tuned before smog is passed? I have heard if you just tune to stock and go for smog, the ECU will not have enough data to feed for smog to pass.

Doesn't the Cobb accessport already have a dp fix on it? I'm running on stage 2 rn. And what do you guys mean by OBD readiness? When I plug in my accessport to read codes and clear it, is that considered ready?

Ap2 will prevent a code from showing up, but it also prevents the emissions test from showing up as "ready". You can test this with coding software.

To get the system to show ready, just install a DP fix and turn off the function of the Cobb tune that blocks the CEL, or flash a stock/stage 1 tune because they don't use that feature. Your system will show ready after some driving time assuming your DP fix is adjusted correctly.

Any visible mods under the hood are no good, but DPs and intercoolers are unlikely to get noticed visually from what I've seen.

I wasn't referring to any particular place. I don't mean that a tech will/has ignored parts, just that some parts are difficult to notice without pulling out body panels or under trays.

Hey guys,

Has anyone passed smog with Inlets/Outlets? I'm getting ready to sell my car, but the installer that working on my car doesn't quite have time for it so I may just try to smog it as is. I'm going to remove my downpipes and put in stock downpipes, put stock diverters and the stock airbox.

I flashed back to a stock tune. After re-tuning the car you will need to run about 100 miles but it is more important to do the heat cycle ( start car, run for a few miles, let car cool and repeat) to get readiness cleared.
